Guest DragonflyKid Posted June 23, 2002 Report Posted June 23, 2002 Just wondering if anyone here fishes and if so is there a location where you frequent with success and do you have any fish stories. After years of not fishing I got the urge this year and got a license and went to a recreational park by a river. After a few hours of fishing my only catches were two small bass. It's not a great area for fishing so I'll be hitting several of the lakes which are located nearby. The biggest bass I have ever caught was around about 2 and a half pounds so I've never caught a trophy fish although I'm not wholly against regaling people with stories of battling monsters that may or may not be true. I will be going to a lake soon that is known for having some big fish so hopefully I will have a (true)fish story to be proud of before the summer ends.

The only stories I have are that a fish's fin cut open my hand one time and the mutant fish in the pond near my house. Here it is. One time me and my friends made a bike ramp so that you would land in the pond when you went over it. We made a "redneck" bike out of spare parts and I video taped myself jumping the ramp. I left the bike in the water and left for the day. The next day we found the bike on the shore bent into a horribly impossible shape with what looked like bite marks on handle grips. So, the pond has since then contained a pond monster.
