Will Guerrero Vs Flair Be Good?

Recommended Posts

Guest joshicho

What are you guys opinions on tonights match? Do you think it will be good like maybe a **** affair, or will it be sucktastic?

Theres a lot of questions for this match:

Will Flair be able to keep up with Guerreros offence?

Are they gonna work a more mat-based match for Flair, and if they do will the crowd shit on it?

Or are they gonna do the typical Flair match, which I dont think will suit Guerrero at all. I think they're gonna have to give this match a lot of time, cos its the only one that has the chance of being really good, besides RVD and Jericho (maybe Hurricanes match but thats not gonna go longer than 12 minutes)

If the Austin vs. Flair match on Raw was *** (which I think it was for a free tv match), I think since Eddie is more mobile than Austin, and if Flair works his ass off, we can see a **** or better classic. All we can do is wait and see how it's booked and worked......

I'm looking forward to this match the most out of the whole card. I dont think theres been a Flair match that i didnt find at the very east, "passable" , and thats including his stuff from the past 3 years

I think Flair will try his damnedest because of Eddie losing his big chance against Austin. Flair can wrestle a good technical match and tell a good story. Eddie is equally amazing. I would like to see him cut down some of the "Latino Heat-isms" but all else is gold for him. Just keep Benoit out of the match itself (no chance in hell), and have Eddie go over clean, or as clean as you can get with Eddie since he cheats to win.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking. Wouldnt it be cool, if they both tried and outdid each other with the cheating? Like every hold with the ropes!

I have always felt that a heel would get much more heat if he cheated at all times. Not once a match or for the ending, but just all out cheating at all points of the match. Flair used to be the master (still could whenever he is a heel), and Guerrero is good as well. I would like to see what you were talking about because even as a face, Flair throws the cheap shots and has the trick knee. Guerrero has that slimy heel down pat. Could be a good side story for the match.

Yeah. If it turned into a game of oneupmanship, it would be the shit!

At WCW Hog Wild 1996, Flair and Eddy had a *** match, now its five years later and Eddy has improved greatly, This will wind up being MOTN, and a possible MOTYC.

At Hog Wild, both guys were off. Eddie is much better than that. For the last seven or eight years, aside from time-off, he's been top five or so in the world. It's all prime for Guerrero. I won't comment whether he's been better at nay one point or time but during '95-7 he was having as good, if not better of a run as he's having now. And he was probably top in the world at that time.

Who cares if the crowd shits on it. They'll get pissed at Eddie. That's why he's one of the best rudo's in the world, because he can interact with the crowd well. With Flair, that should result in keeping the crowd on track though. But if it's good, I don't care for the crowd. They already paid, I already paid.

What is a typical Flair match? You mean lots of him umping? Slow build? Heavy on psychology? Eddie can keep up.

I've not seen it yet cos my video is fucked. But what i meant is that i find it harder to watch a match with crappy heat.

And I meant a typical Flair match, as in one with all his spots and not much else (this means basically his matches with Vince and Taker) wheras i think Guerrero works best when he can get all his Rana's in etc
