Don't worry, his permissions are still the same as everybody else's. He was really excited to see his name rendered in copper. None of us will be affected by this. Just let him be happy.

I don't really care one way or the other but I think it was just kind of random. I mean hell, if we're going to start sniping people at random because they do something stupid, we could take out Deon along with him.

 

A quick vote all around to see if Vanhalen should be banned (I unbanned him if you couldn't tell by my message up there), and another for Deon.

 

Vanhalen- Nah. He's stupid sometimes, but he's just there, he doesn't actively suck. If you think so, show proof.

 

Deon- Banhammer! Although a Justify Your Existence thread would be good for him.

Vanhalen really should have stayed banned, IMO. He was an utterly worthless poster whose banning was met with nothing put positive response. Even bob didn't give us shit for it, for crying out loud. Let's try thinking about this stuff in the future before basing decisions on our personal wants.

I agree with this, I mean the general thing is just avoiding the BANHAMMER, you know? I know it's funny, but I like the way Agent's carrying out the bans these days, with a justify your existence thread and a referendum here, and then cut them off. A lot of these guys have posted here for a while (Deon in particular for like, 5 years or so) and the new regime has been in power for what, like, 6 months or so now? That's a lot of time in internet time.

 

I am totally cool with posting a thread in here saying should we do it or not and then after a day or so, if no one cares enough to respond, strike them down. I'm always on AIM too, by the way, so at least just bring it up to SOMEONE on staff.

If we get another ombudsman, that would be good. We could just ignore Bob's gripes and let the new ombudsman listen to all his complaints, which is what an ombudsman should be doing. Ombudsmen are supposed to listen to people like Bob. We only have one Bob.
