Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 24, 2002 This is from 1wrestling... "WWE.com reported that many of the workers assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling and the Heartland Wrestling Alliance developmental territories were backstage last night at the show. Mike Awesome, Horace Hogan, Haku, Race Steele, R.C. Haas, The Island Boys, Mike Sanders, Johnny the Bull, Steve Bradley, Lance Cade, Chad Collyer and E.Z. Money made the hundred mile drive from Cincinnati (HWA) while Sean O’Haire, Prototype, Shelton Benjamin, Red Dog, Payne and Rob Conway made the over 200 mile drive from OVW." ...quite a bit of talent there, for the most part, don't ya think? I hope they are ready to bring some of these guys in, as the fans really seem to be craving for something new. So, which ones out of thes, are you ready to see finally show up or back up on WWE TV? Oh yeah, on a side note... ...whatever happened to Ron Watterman? Is he even close to finally making his WWE debut? Perhaps he is afraid of becoming Rev. D-von's alter boy or something, I dunno. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 24, 2002 Well, Mike sanders is pretty good. That about covers it. Oh, and I heard RC Haas can be good as well.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted June 24, 2002 From that list, I'll take: Mike Awesome, Mike Sanders, EZ Money, Sean O'Haire, and maybe Johnny the Bull. (Most of) the rest I've never seen wrestle, so I've got no comment on them.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 24, 2002 On a side note, please tell me if any of you guys remember when WCW was pushing EZ-Money, and he was getting the loudest pops at the shows, sometimes reaching levals of guys like Goldberg, etc... He wasn't there long, but the fans really took to him. After a few weeks, the crowd would be cheering throughout the match, and then when he hit the "Tajiri Thing" (the springboard elbow off the ropes, I forget what it's called) the fans just went f'n crazy for him. So, do any of you guys remember this, and if so, do you think he can ever begin to grow like that in WWE?

But, yeah, I kinda remember him being over, but I don't know about Goldberg levels. As for WWE success, that would be kinda tricky, since they would neuter him by making him cut back on his high impact/flying stuff and work a more grounded style. But, hey, they did the same thing to Helms & he got over, so it's possible he could have success in the WWE.
Guest Rob Edwards Report post Posted June 24, 2002 O'Haire and Jindrack could be a big plus to the ailing tag division and I'd like to see Sanders in some capacity, I've heard good things about Sheldon Benjamin too maybe he could join Lesnar and Heyman
Guest Goodear Report post Posted June 24, 2002 I'm not really sold on bringing in another talker who doesn't wrestle exceedingly well, so I'm not thrilled at the prospect of bringing in Sanders. I was impressed with what EZ Money I saw coming out of ECW. The guy had pretty good agility and had some size to him beyond that of the typical cruiserweight. His sunsetflip-counter-to-piledriver was particularly neat, but its a pain having every guy you work against trying for the move.
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted June 24, 2002 I think if they bring in any more talent it will be to the detriment of talent who are already on tv. Think about it. The WWF's main roster is quite full as it is. Many of those guys like Albert, Stasiak, Hugh Morris never see tv or are in any feuds right now. If the company calls up anyone new someone will have to be demoted in the process.

Are you saying you are against Albert or Stasiak being demoted?

Oh yes, I think the topper for EZ was when Balls Mahoney of all people went for a sunset flip.... Balls Mahoney? That is just plain wrong on so many levels. Guest Incandenza Report post Posted June 24, 2002 Jamie (K)noble powerbombed Kidman on Smackdown last week, so don't let it be said that it can't be done.

If the company calls up anyone new someone will have to be demoted in the process. Well, I don't really think Morris or Stasiak will ever have a shot of making it as top or even midcard guys in the federation. Morris doesn't seem to have the personality for the spot and Stasiak is completely useless unless he is running into stuff at high rates of speed. The point of having them on the roster is basically to keep them out of other federations (an odd policy in my mind). Albert, on the other hand, the WWE has invested a great deal of time and energy into turning the guy into a capable worker so I really wouldn't worry about him getting released. He might never reach the IC title again, but he'll be around to serve as "monstrous big guy to fight hero" guy.

Guest Human Fly Report post Posted June 24, 2002 I want the Island Boys to come up and freshen up the stale tag division.
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted June 24, 2002 Mike Sanders is totally ready, I'd also like to see O'Haire in the WW_.
Guest BigTim2002 Report post Posted June 24, 2002 If Sanders comes up, it's as a booker. If O'Haire comes up, it won't be with Jindrak. I really want Awesome and EZ Money to come up, because that team would be fun to watch. I really wanna see the tag ranks evolve
Guest muzanisa Report post Posted June 24, 2002 Prototype is ready and can be used in the tag ranks with Rico. O'Haire has the look but is still not ready, I loved Sanders in WCW but don't get HWA tapes. Leviathan/ Batistua looked ready in OVW but is misused in WWE. I really only want people in for tag teams because that division is on it's arse.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 24, 2002 mike awesome will hopefully return soon to the wwe so i'm happy about that. he was underutilized his first time around and needs a better push. also ez money is so ready for the wwe I can't understand why the fuck he isn't there all ready. sean o'haire looked ready when he was first in the wwe but for whatever reason was sent to the minors. he should be up there IMO. Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted June 24, 2002 I NEED Mike Sanders on my television. I have a major bet on the line, dammit! Dames
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted June 24, 2002 Maybe O'Haire could come back up and take the "F5" back from Lesnar? Sanders rules btw. Why isn't he on TV? At least use him as a mouth piece. From what I heard, he's doing a lot of the writing down there.

Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted June 24, 2002 Awesome! You're lucky. I met the Dudley's in August of 2000 at WWF NY. Buh Buh's a prick!
Guest Vyce Report post Posted June 24, 2002 From that list, I'll take: Mike Awesome, Mike Sanders, EZ Money, Sean O'Haire, and maybe Johnny the Bull. Amen to that. Awesome has tremendous potential, if only they use him correctly. He could be over as a big midcard heel or face. Sanders is okay in the ring, great on the mike. I'd love to see him doing something on camera. Isn't Tazz supposed to be off TV for a few weeks to have some minor surgery done? There you go. New announce partner for Michael Cole on Smackdown. EZ Money would be great for the cruizer division. And Sean O'Haire? After seeing Brock Lesnar wrestle many matches, I can honestly say, O'HAIRE IS READY. If Brock is supposedly ready for all of this, for the mega-push they're giving him, than the LEAST you could do is put Sean back on TV, because O'Haire is in no ways worse in talent or skill than Lesnar.
