It's not fair to pick one GREAT wrestler, so for right now, I split mine into categories.

First, the high flyer. This one WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT goes to Jushin "Thunder" Lyger, for revolutionizing the cruiserweight industry with his moves in the late 80s-early 90s

Runner-ups: Rey Mysterio, Jr., The Great Sasuke, RVD

Second, the technical whiz. This, is without a doubt THE hardest to choose, but for 15 years, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart was one of the most sound technical wrestlers I had ever seen. So this nod goes to him.

Runner-ups: Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Owen Hart, Kurt Angle

Third, the showman award. This goes to the man who put on the best show. Obviously, this one goes to Ric Flair, who could put on a show regardless of who was involved.

Runner-ups: Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Sting

Fourth, the big man award. This goes to the best wrestler over 300 pounds. This one goes to the Undertaker, who (in his heyday) was the best at his game, regardless of who he fought.

Runner-ups: Vader, Kevin Nash

Fifth, the brawler. This is my first tie, because honestly, I can't pick the better man. This goes to Terry Funk and Mick Foley, because they had the same styles and were basically the best at what they did.

Runner-ups: Raven, Dreamer, Masato Tanaka

Sixth, this goes to the undercarder of all undercarders. Not necessarily a JTTS, but a man who was never in the Main Event, but did well when he wasn't. This one goes to Chris Benoit.

Note: While some may be main eventing now, this is for people who dealt with being held down for a long time before finally becoming main eventers on their own.

Runner-up: Chris Jericho, Booker T, Randy Savage

Seventh, the best face. Hulk Hogan. No question to how popular he has been...

Runner-ups: Steve Austin, Sting, Randy Savage

Eight, the best heel. For the man who defined the heel, this award will go to...Ric Flair, because he is the dirtiest player in the game.

Runner-up: Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Chris Jericho, HHH

Ninth, the man you could watch over and over again. This one goes to Ricky Steamboat, who had THE best string of matches from 87-94 that I've ever seen.

Runner-up: Dynamite Kid, Tiger Mask, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle

Tenth, and my final award, goes to the greatest underachiever ever. My choice is Al Snow, who for 20 years has been one of the best known and respected workers in the industry.

Runner-up: Brooklyn Brawler, Curt Hennig

Not to piss on a man's grave, but its amazing how, much like the Owen surge of 99, so many people are worshipping Davey Boy now. As great as he was, I don't remember him popping up on any of these lists the last time this was done, a few months ago.

But I digress...

1. Bret Hart

2. Shawn Michaels

3. Ric Flair

4. Curt Hennig

5. HHH (fuck you guys)

6. Randy Savage

7. Chris Benoit

8. Kurt Angle

9. Kevin Nash (fuck you guys again)

10. X-Pac (see above)

watch king of the ring 1996 to see why davey boy was one of the best. i don't think he appears on enough peoples list actually.

now please explain why the clique appears on your list dude.

it seems to me that most of these lists are made from wwf marks who started watching after 98. guys like the rock and angle may end up as all time greats, but are nowhere near that level yet. lets wait ten more years into their careers people. my top ten is in no particular order.

1: ric flair

2: ricky steamboat

3: dynamite kid

4: tiger mask

5: jerry lawler(created hardcore wrestling)

6:mick foley(perfected hardcore wrestling)

7: the crusher

8: harley race

9: keiji mutoh

10: antonio inoki

honorable mentions: steve austin, bull nakano, jushin lyger, beniot, rey mysterio jr,hulk hogan, misawa, bruno sammartino, barry windham, atsushi onita, eddy gurrerro, ohtani, malenko, brusier brody(who would've easily taken foley's spot if he didn't die), stan hansen, andre the giant and big van vader.

I think you misunderstood. I don't disagree at all that Davey Boy is one of the all time greats, I just don't remember him being on this many lists before he died. (See Hart, Owen)

And the clique is on my list because they entertain the fuck out of me. Always have, and most likely always will. I'm not going to lie and say I think Kevin Nash is as good a wrestler as Chris Benoit, who also made my list, but he has always drawn me.

Wow...

Millions? Where? In the Hart basement? They had TWO great ones I remember. And Owen has become overrated since his death. But that happens to most talented people that die a tragic unexpected young death. He was great, but not top ten all time.

(grabs BigTim2002 by the head and screams into his ear)

I'M NOT SAYING I DISAGREE THAT OWEN HART AND DAVEY BOY SMITH ARE TWO OF THE ALL TIME GREATEST! I'M SAYING THAT THEY EACH HAD QUITE A RISE IN POPULARITY SHORTLY AFTER THEIR TRAGIC, UNTIMELY DEATHS!

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS TIME?
