My uncel used to have a cat that pissed all over his house when he was at work, it got so bad that my dad and I refused to go back to his house until the cat died and he got new rugs. The cat died adn we made teh trip out to Indiana. I had to help him rip up one of the rugs, about 2 months after the cat died and teh smell was still horrible. The floor was stained and the pad had melted to the floor in some places. The rug guys refused to take teh rug away until my uncle threatened to sue for breach of contract. I don't hate cats or anything, but this went on for about six months before we finally did something about it, and our options were truly limited. The litter box was down in the basement laundry room, with no door to close it off. There are only five rooms in my house that are self-contained: two bathrooms (with NO room for a litter box) and three bedrooms (sorry, but no). Besides, the thing was twelve years old.
