Well Michigan laid a big egg tonight at Penn St. It wasn't that long ago when they were ranked and had wins over Duke and UCLA. With the Big Ten looking tough this year, they can't afford to have these slumps. The way they're playing right now though, it looks like that early season success was just Michigan overachieving. Michigan has one of the longest NCAA tourney droughts among BCS conference teams...guess that streak is gonna continue unless they can turn it around in a hurry.

Duke destroyed Maryland 85-44, which is apparantly their largest margin of victory over Maryland ever. I was worried they'd look ahead to Wake Forest and and slip up here. So I'm hoping this gets them the #1 ranking so they can have it at least one week this season, and quite possibly only one week with Wake on the schedule Wednesday.

I don't wanna talk about it. And yes, Duke was #2, #1 lost, so it seems logical Duke will now be #1. Til Wake beats Duke. Then who knows who will be #1?

UCONN if they beat Notre Dame.

A. Ya, I think we'll be #1 in two weeks if we win tonight and Duke loses on Wed.

B. Just because I see it so often, I have to point out that it's UConn, not UCONN. There are only two abbreviations, not five. You obviously know that. I'm just being an ass.

U of L humbled the Orange today in Syracuse 67-57. Big win to keep up with Marquette at the top of the Big East. Now another likely beatdown of USF before WVU comes to town next Saturday.

Anyone think there was a bizarre lack of hype for that Louisville/Syracuse game today considering it involved two top 10 (or 15) teams?

Okay Notre Dame, don't lose 2 in a row at home. Help U of L out a bit and take down Marquette, giving the Cardinals 1st place all alone.

Duke/Wake should be a great game this week. If Wake wins would they simply go back to being #1 again, or would UConn become the new #1?

Watching the Noles letting a lead slip away to North Carolina again was disappointing. If anything is going to cost the coach his job is the Noles cannot finish games when they have the lead. They are more likely to let a close game slip away than they are to go for the exclamation mark and end it.
