Guest Quik Report post Posted June 26, 2002 I like to think of the Invasion angle as this: WCW had AIDS. Vince's WWF swallowed it up, so now the WWF has AIDS. It's getting worse, the logo is allready losing weight. ------------------------------- Vince is appeasing the Smarks in a way. However, it's also a self-promoting way. We cry out for new talent; and he supplies it. Unfortunately, the talent he pushes will be on his terms (namely Brock). He gives a new guy a chance to shine, but it's gonna be a new guy who fits his criteria. And therein lies Vince's problem: he's doing what he wants. The fans obviously don't want to see Brock. I skipped Raw last nite (I had a much merrier time walking around town talking about Nirvana), but from whjat I gather Brock had no heat. I gave up WWF PPV's a long time ago, but from what I gather, he again had no heat during KOR. Vince obviously doesn't get it, as we're about to get SuperBrock shoved down our throats for the next week. Vince needs to listen to his fans. Ratings and reactions speak volumes for what needs to be seen, but Vince chooses to ignore that because he thinks he knows what we want. I've read somewhere someone's counter to the "Fuckin Listen To The People" plan, which is "They popped for Hogan, and look what happened." It's very simple, Hogan recieved pops because he's established, and he was given the promos to make him seem important. It's the same reason Trips gets pops (on occasion, it's dying down it seems). He once was entertaining, and he's given promos that make him look important. Do you think Benoit would get pops if he grabbed Hogan's head and tried ripping it off in a crossface, and then cut a promo? Of course; but instead, he's helping Eddy by giving Bubba a crossface. Is it going to give him heat? Of course not; he's hurting a fucking tag wrestler lost in the midcard. Maybe if Benoit was allowed to wrestle at the end of the nite against Rob or Trips, he'd get a fucking pop and people would give a shit. Instead, we have a hobbling ass-fuck champion who got the belt because of a clause in his contract, who is now feuding with half of Raw's only tag team who everyone knows has no shot in hell of winning. And Vince wonders why the ratings are tanking? I mean fuck, the top babyface completely lost his mind and is gone, only to be replaced by a roided-out freak who's in a face run that makes him look as credible as a paycheck signed by Paul Heyman. Is anyone intimidated by HHH? No, he's a fucking "cool" face who can be INTENSE~~~!!!! when provoked (or when he gives Stephanie some loving, in which she decides to give him the belt). But even still, we've seen the sledgehammer once, and despite the fact that it was somewhat cool to see a face minutes from fucking murdering someone, hes back to the same tired shit we've seen since that beautiful day when Rob got dicked out of a feud with Jericho and Chris got shoved into a subordinate role with Stephanie. (Eh, some dickhole on my site was pissing me off. I needed an escape, so I read a Raw Report to see what I had missed last nite. Unfortunately, I'm now angry at my Monday Nite Ritual, which has raped any sense of enjoyment I had for it. So, I figured I'd piss, moan, bitch and complain here. Bloody hell...) Guest Nezbyte Report post Posted June 26, 2002 Can you tell how you know that UT has a clause in his contract which gives him the belt? Source, perhaps?

Guest Quik Report post Posted June 26, 2002 Can you tell how you know that UT has a clause in his contract which gives him the belt? Source, perhaps? I think I read it on Rajah. It was a few months ago; last time UT had a title shot. I may be wrong, but I think I'm right.

This is one of those times where it's almost impossible to prove you're (the person who claims he does) right. Just because Rajah says it, dolesnt make it true, ya know, dirty journalism. Just a thought or so. Also, Taker's pretty goddamn over right now, especially for his ability (at his age).
