Then it ends up being Lee who is doing the stalking and Rude is a sercurity guard. I don't even know why Rude and Lee assaulted Douglas because wasn't Lee part of Triple Threat? Any help would be great.
Guest BigTim2002 Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 Yes. See, Brian Lee, Chris Candido, and Shane Douglas formed the Triple Threat at the time. At that time, Douglas was feuding with Pitbull #2 since Gary Wolfe was injured. A masked man kept showing up, and he did the hip swinging gestures, but never took his mask off, so nobody ever knew if it really was Rude or not. Because of this, Douglas got himself a riot squad. Turn to Barely Legal. After the HORRIBLY boring match, he waited for the masked man to show up, and it ended up being Brian Lee, who turned on him. Rick Rude DID show up, and he was part of the riot squad. They beat up Douglas, and Rude's tenure in ECW was pretty much over. 300 posts...BOO-YAH....

Heyman originally wanted Reggie Bennett (female wrestler from I believe All Japan Women's at the time) was supposed to be concealed under the mask, so that when Francine acted like she "liked the kiss" from the masked person, she would be shocked to find out it was a woman. It was supposed to go along with the whole Rude "I wanna fuck with the Franchise" storyline. Brian Lee was supposed to take the Big Dick Dudley role of tossing Dreamer through the tables from the commentary booth, but got put in the masked man slot instead. Bennett wound up running in as a member of Raven's "biker gang" and powerbombed Terry Funk in the title match. They stuck Big Dick in the role meant for Lee just because he was a big badass that could imposingly stand over Tommy. They had Douglas vs. Lee TV Title matches booked for later dates, but that all changed when Lee went to the WWF as the DOA member Chainz.
