Guest Kotzenjunge Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 *This idea came to me as I was getting WAY into "Move this Mountain" by Sophie Ellis-Bextor* What bands/groups/musicians/songs do you literally mark for? Marking in music to me is just singing along automatically to them whenever you hear them, or automatically dancing when you hear them, or defending them to the death seemingly. You forget any and all flaws they have and just enjoy them. Pretty much, what music is the equivalent of Angle to Anglesault to you? For Me, I mark for: Abba Sophie Ellis-Bextor Kylie Minogue Gigi D'Agostino The Beatles Radiohead Britney Spears DMX Any Bluegrass Beastie Boys
Guest saturnmark4life Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 well, i don't see any flaws with beastie boys, radiohead or the beatles but then i'm a dork anyways. I mark out for Andrew WK more than anything, and have trouble understanding how people CAN'T like the guy. Other than that, i'm very suceptible to pop punk when i'm drunk, like blink, sum 41 and all that crap. And GARY NUMAN~!
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 The song You Spin Me Right Round by Dead or Alive.

A mere two hours ago I marked out for a Mr.Deeds commercial NOT because it's an Adam Sandler movie but because it had "Don't Stop Believin'" in the background. Steve Perry owns you.

Guest Kinetic Posted June 27, 2002 Report Posted June 27, 2002 Dylan. Then I'll pretty much mark out for anything I like playing where I don't expect to hear it. The first time I saw the video for "Fell In Love With A Girl" on MTV, you best believe I perked up slightly.

Guest treble charged Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 Of course, I mark for treble charger. That's pretty much the only band I go nuts for, but any time one of their songs comes on the radio, the volume goes up more than a few notches (even for Red, which is probably the least "pump up the volume"-worthy song that their is. Others include: Default - Wasting My Time Our Lady Peace - Superman's Dead The Clash - Rock the Casbah Matthew Good Band - Hello Time Bomb
Guest massivHEDtrauma Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 I mark for: Marilyn Manson Eels Weezer Ben Folds (Five, too) 2 Skinnee J's The Doors The Sex Pistols Guns 'N' Roses Van Halen The White Stripes Kid Rock The Strokes Nine Inch Nails Tool Tenacious D Insane Clown Posse Stone Temple Pilots And lasy but not least, the greatest punk band of all time, THE QUEERS~! Guest papacita Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 I'm real big on Rocafella right now, so pretty much anybody with them...mainly Beanie Sigel and Freeway. I also mark for old school LL, Run DMC, Chyna (what?!), The song California Love, and that song "Addictive" by Truth Hurts.
