Would WWE ever take Kurt Angle back?

Recommended Posts

There was a rumour floating around a few months ago that WWE had held some informal talks about possibly bringing him back-on a part time schedule when his contract runs out, which I think is in September. Kurt has softened his rhetoric regarding Vince and WWE, and is probably mulling it over himself.

I know in regards to his health, he's still in pretty bad shape, although not as bad as he once. And if they brought him back, it would be a blow to TNA, which has basically been built around him.

Thoughts?

Kurt Angle vs Jack Swagger

Swagger goes for the gutwrench, Angle drops out and hits the Angle slam, and Swagger kicks out. Angle gets eight German suplexes and goes for the ankle lock, and Swagger rolls out of it, sending Angle into the turnbuckle. Swagger hits the gutwrench, Angle kicks out at two. Stunned, Swagger goes for it again, only to see it reversed into the ankle lock. Swagger rolls out of it, sending Angle into the turnbuckle. Swagger hits the gutwrench, Angle kicks out at two. Stunned, Swagger goes for it again, only to see it reversed into the ankle lock with a leg grapevine.

There's a pretty good chance, taking Kurt's health into consideration, that he could die during a high impact match. After Eddie and Benoit, they don't need another guy bringing in more negative media attention about 'roids and such.

Kurt Angle vs CM Punk

Punk goes for the GTS, Angle drops down into a sunset flip and breaks the two count to get the Ankle Lock. Punk bites his hand and finally rolls Angle into the corner. He hits the knee and bulldog and gets the GTS. Angle kicks out at two. Stunned, Punk goes for it again. Angle drops out and hits the Angle Slam for two. He picks Punk up and goes for another, but Punk drops out and puts Angle up for a GTS. Angle reverses it in midmove to an anklelock, which Punk reverses to an anklelock until Angle reverses the reversal to an anklelock with a leg grapevine.

I would like Kurt Angle to finish his career in WWE, but I don't want him to finish his life there.

I don't think a part time WWE position is that bad. Certainly not any harder than his current TNA schedule.

Angle should look at Christian. While Vince sees him as a higher up guy than Christian he's still another signing from TNA that would wind up on ECW. He'd likely be putting over Swagger.
