I think Liam Neeson is calling people at random from 9 to 5 telling people to go see his movie. Love to see it still kicking ass.

Thought Watchmen might hold on to #1 for another week. And Miss March finished about where I figured it would

Watchmen took a Hulk 2003 level hit in the 2nd week. Thing is we all knew a big drop was going to happen, but I just wonder if it will keep dropping at this rate. Perhaps the fanbase wasn't that huge, or maybe some are just going to wait for the director's cut on DVD.

The good thing about the Watchmen is honestly it doesn't matter what it does at the Box Office. It's a stand alone. Doing so so at the box office just prevents a horrible studio designed sequel.

Taken continuing to do well and Miss March going mediocre is tops. Now hopefully the rated R version of Paul Blart (better known as Observe and Report) doesn't do well in a few weeks then it'll be a good going summer.

Did anyone see Last House on the Left? I've read some extremely scathing reviews of it, not that it surprises me since it's horror, but after enjoying the hell out of Friday the 13th, and considering Wes Craven had a hand in this one as well (and was the director of the original), I had high hopes. Heading to see it later today.

What doesn't help Watchmen was that the movie didn't get good word of mouth, not even from fans, and the near 3 hour long running time didn't help its box office either. I got a feeling that movie might become a cult hit on DVD though with its director's cut, which will probably make the movie vastly better.

I knew "Watchmen" was going to take a big drop.

Did anyone see Last House on the Left?

I saw a matinee showing of it yesterday, and I wasn't impressed.

I'd just like to point out that Street Fighter placed 22nd this weekend, its 3rd weekend, making a measly $400,000, bring it's total up to $8,128,000 domestic and a whopping $9,724,718 worldwide. It also is up to 46 total reviews at RT and still only has 2 positives (damn critics ruining that 0% I was hoping for) for an oh so impressive 4% rating.

Ahem.

FLOP!

I'm not even sure anymore Dragonball will be a worse movie than it, and I'm fairly certain it'll make more money. Maybe not net, but it's bound to draw more it's opening weekend than Street Fighter makes over it's entire run. A movie that does NOT walk through the raindrops.

Makes me wonder if they will attempt a Taken sequel, obviously a much different premise then the first movie. I think the character has some legs to do another movie, but it's a good stand alone if not.

That Street Fighter movie was horribly marketed, and from what I've read it was horribly made.

Hoping to see Last House on the Left and Witch Mountain soon.

Holy shit Coraline is STILL in the top ten! Awesome!

I really love that movie. Best one of 2009 so far.

I think it's funny that Coraline was supposed to get wiped out with the Jo Bros movie, and is actually doing better than it.

And you couldn't even buy glowsticks for Coraline.

From what I was reading among the horror community, it's getting a very good response. Many people I know have said they went in not wanting to like it, and walked out enjoying it a lot. I'm hoping to see it next weekend.

Yeah, that's pretty much a surprise to no one. I was a little shocked to see it crack the top 10 in its first week
