Everything that you're read of mine comes together from here. No Way Out 2002 – 2/17/02 An intro montage flashes through with a short history of both belts; followed by an ECW and WCW montage heavily featuring the four participants as well as Flair and Heyman. Light-heavyweight Championship Tajiri © vs. Shane Helms Tajiri and Helms tease a collar elbow tie-up but break. Another try but Tajiri goes for a kick and Helms breaks away. Helms comes charging and grabs a headlock, but Tajiri guides him to the ropes. He tries to whip him off but Helms holds onto his arm. Tajiri rolls, kip ups, and reverses the hold but Helms rolls, and tries to kip up. Tajiri catches him with a leg drop to the arm. Tajiri works the arm for a minute and gets Helms into the corner. He whips him across but Helms reverses and comes charging. Tajiri reverses by catching him in the tarantula. Tajiri breaks at four and pull Helms to the outside. They brawl on the outside for a while and Tajiri throws the belt in the ring. He comes back to Helms but catches a few forearms to the jaw. Helms with a whip into the turnbuckle but Tajiri reverses, catching Helms shoulder on steel. Tajiri staggers but throws Helms into the ring. Tajiri continues to work on the arm. Single-arm DDT for two and a half. He picks up Helms and goes for a brainbuster on the belt, but Helms reverses a hits a release German suplex for the double knockout. They come back up and Helms blocks two kicks and a punch and fires off come chops. Helms spread Tajiri against the ropes and lays in the chops. He whips Tajiri across and charges hitting a clothesline. Pin for two. Hurricane picks him up but Tajiri reverses and falls into a jutigatame. Tajiri chokes up even more and uses a figure four headlock. Helms tries to escape but he’s grounded. He inches to the ropes and lunges with his body. Ref breaks the hold. Tajiri picks Helms and whips him but Helms reverses into the corner. Tajiri reverses and gets into the tarantula. He lets out and gives Helms three solid kicks to the arm. Pin for two and a half. Tajiri picks up Helms. He goes for a brainbuster, but Helms falls out. Helms rolls him up for two and a half. Tajiri gets up and throws a clothesline but Helms ducks, heads behind and hits a crucifix for two and a half. Helms with a small package for two and a half. Helms and Tajiri up and Tajiri throws a kick but Helms ducks and hits a neckbreaker. Helms with a full head of speed. He gets Tajiri in vertibreaker position but Tajiri reverses holding onto the bad arm and throws him across. Tajiri throws a superkick but Helms ducks and lays in some punches. Tajiri falls back to the ropes. Helms with a chop and a whip across. He tries for a kitchen sink but Tajiri leaps, catches the knee, and schoolboys him holding onto the ropes for three at 10:25. Rey Mysterio says that there’s only one hombre who will offer Tajiri enough of a fight for WrestleMania, and Rey Mysterio Jr. is that person. European Championship Eddie Guerrero © vs. Edge Eddie and Edge come to a grapple at first. Eddie works behind and uses a roman Greco take over to get Edge down. Eddie works it into a headlock but Edge fumbles around and works that into a hammerlock and brings Eddie to his feet. Eddie reverses into a hammerlock of his own using a rake to the eyes. Eddie kicks the right knee to the ground, leaving Edge kneeling. Eddie tries for a dragon sleeper, but Edge slips out and hits a kick to Eddie’s head. Edge back up and he charges forward hitting a clothesline but clutches his arm. He pulls up Eddie but Eddie breaks out and a lays in some European uppercuts. Eddie whips Edge, but gets a reversal. Edge drops the head but Eddie flips over Edge. Edge turns around and gets a rake of the eyes. Eddie off the ropes and he hits a clothesline. Eddie picks up Edge and works over the neck. At about 4:40, he hits the brainbuster as Edge fails to stage a comeback. Pin for a nearfall. Eddie is in disbelief and argues with the ref. He pulls Edge up and lays in a few forearms. At the ropes and he whips him across. Eddie leapfrogs and Edge spear and catches Edge coming off the other side with a dropkick. Eddie works over the neck some more. Neckbreaker at 6:30 for two and a half. Eddie hits a snap suplex and than locks in a chicken wing. Egde starts to fade but comes back with some right hands. He elbows Eddie out and throws him into the ropes. Edge comes back with a clothesline. Eddie back up and he hits a second clothesline. A third clothesline and Eddie comes right back up. Edge whips him into the ropes and hits a spear. Pin for two and a half. Edge picks him up and goes for the DDT, But Eddie reverses out into a wristlock and hit a wrist clutch exploder. Nearfall for Eddie. Eddie back up and he picks up Edge and hits the brainbuster at about 8:20. He decides not to pin him and instead goes to the top ropes. He goes for the frog splash but Edge rolls out Eddie misses. Both guys are down for a six count. Edge and Eddie both get up and trade off right. Eddie is first to get the upper hand and he gets him to the corner. He whips him across, but Edge reverses. He goes for a spear but Eddie dodges and edge’s shoulder eats turnbuckle. Eddie goes for a locked-arm backdrop but Edge flips over head. Eddie holds onto the arm into a wristlock and pulls Edge towards him. Edge hits a kick to the stomach and the edge-cution for a nearfall. Edge up with a full head of steam. He pulls Eddie in and hits the downward spiral for a nearfall. Edge back up and he hits the edge-o-matic. Another pin but the ref is pulled out by Test. Christian around and he clobbers Edge with a chair. Eddie pulls edge into the jutigatame. The ref checks Edge and raises his hand twice but it doesn’t fall the third time. Edge fights to the ropes, but Eddie won’t let him out. Edge finally gets his hand on the rope and the ref breaks it. Eddie back up and he pulls Edge up. Three suplexes holding the arm for Eddie. He’s on the apron and gives the slingshot senton on Edge for a nearfall. Eddie up and he complains with the ref. He gives Edge a release Northern Lights and heads to the top. He teases the crowd for a few second and goes to give Edge the frog splash but Edge is on his feet and springboards off the second rope and hits the edge-cution from the top, but Christian holds down Edge’s feet so Eddie stays on top pinning him for the three at 14:18. Jeff and Matt Hardy make amends in the back. Eddie Guerrero cuts a promo in the back. He says that the European title is the most prestigious title in the business because it has so many challengers, but all of them seem to be inferior to Eddie’s machismo and skills. Eddie says his goal is to challenge “up” from here since he’s beat everyone, but isn’t Eddie Guerrero already the best in the business? Angle vs. Shamrock Angle comes in first and goes down low with a double leg takedown. Angle goes for a front face-lock but Shamrock slides him off quickly. Shamrock turns to face Angle but Angle’s a half step quicker and takes a grapple on the ground. Both men comes to a standing and Shamrock lets the kick fly. Angle limps off and Shamrock catches him with a belly-to-back takeover. Shamrock takes his own front face-lock but Angle immediately reverses it into a wristlock. They do a quick mat sequence ending with Shamrock on his back where he kicks off Angle from the wristlock. Both men come to a standing position as Shamrock shake off his arm. Angle fakes going low, and Shamrock throws a kick but Angle catches it and hits a dragonscrew. Angle works over the leg and tries to hook an anklelock around 4:00. Shamrock spins and kicks out. Angle goes right after the leg again. Angle picks up Shamrock and whips him into the ropes. Belly to belly suplex attempt but Shamrock reverses out with some elbows to the neck. Angle backs out Shamrock goes for spinning heel kick but Angle ducks and catches Shamrock. He goes for the Olympic slam. Shamrock falls out and goes for a Russian legsweep. Angle elbows Shamrock to the head and picks him up, hitting a knee breaker. Shamrock stumbles off and Angle hits a chop block. Angle works over the knee on the ground. He pulls Shamrock up and talks some trash. He starts to throw kicks to the knee, but Shamrock recovers and trades shots. Angle catches the third kick, but Shamrock tries to throw and enziguiri. Angle ducks and bangs the knee against the mat, than goes for Indian deathlock. Shamrock tries to block, but Angle lift him up. Shamrock doesn’t tap, so Angle tries to pin using the hold. Ref does a double count and both guys lift their shoulders at two. Angle tries again but has to lift his shoulders. Angle releases the hold. He pulls up Shamrock and whips him across. Angle leaps across for a crossbody but Shamrock rolls under. Angle gets up and comes at Shamrock but gets a monkey flip. Shamrock uses the ropes to get up. He limps over to Angle and stomps him down as he gets up. Shamrock pulls up Angle by the ropes and lays him out with some chops. He whips Angle across, but Angle reverses. Angle catches him for an overhead belly to belly but Shamrock swings around and gives him a belly to belly to the outside. Shamrock slides to the outside and brawls. Angle reverses a whip into the barricade and Shamrock tumbles over, clutching his knee at about 10:40. Angle pulls him over and controls the brawling for the most part until he comes charging at Shamrock and gets backbody drop onto the announcer’s table. Shamrock slides in the ring and back out. He pulls Angle to the turnbuckle and hits his head against it. He does it twice more, than rolls Angle into the ring. Shamrock follows but Angle slides back out. Shamrock tries to pull Angle in but Angle grabs his legs and crotches him on the turnbuckle. Angle is dazed, but he crosses the leg and locks in the figure four on the ringpost. Angle breaks it before the count. Angle slides back in the ring and starts taunting. He picks up Shamrock and knocks him back into the corner with a punch. Angle climbs the turnbuckle, and breaking a smile, starts punching Shamrock. Angle is loving it and he starts yelling out to the crowd. Shamrock recovers lifting Angle up and dropping him face first onto the turnbuckle. Angle staggers off and Shamrock hits him with jumping guiri kick from behind. Shamrock pins for two. Shamrock pulls Angle back up and whips him across. Shamrock comes charging with a clothesline. Shamrock grabs the arm and drags angle forward into an armdrag and goes for the la majistral for a two and a half. Shamrock picks Angle up and goes for fisherman’s suplex for two. Shamrock pulls Angle to the middle of the ring and goes for the anklelock, but Angle is able to drag Shamrock to the ropes. Angle tries to kick Shamrock off but Shamrock comes back with a stomp to the chest. Shamrock is visibly frustrated and tosses Angle into the corner. He gives Angle a few kicks but Angle catches the last one and heads out. Shamrock drops to his back and kicks Angle off him. Angle falls back to the corner, and shamrock tries to whip him across. Angle reverses and hits the overhead belly to belly. Pin for a nearfall. Angle picks Shamrock up and goes for the Olympic Slam, but Shamrock reverses it and goes for a German suplex. Angle reverses that and comes around and hits two rolling German suplexes. The third one is blocked by Shamrock, who rolls through with Angle’s foot and submits him in the anklelock at 17:26. Ric Flair reminds Austin and Jericho that the two winners tonight will face each other at WrestleMania for the WWF title. Austin says that there’s only going to be one winner tonight, and both guys stare down at each other before Arn and Flair pull them apart. Tag Team Championship Palumbo & O’Haire © vs. the Impact Players vs. the Hardy Boys Three-way rules for this match, with one member of each team legal at every time. Palumbo pins Matt, the legal man, while Justin Credible pins Jeff, the illegal Hardy, following both guys hitting a superkick at 13:51. Dudleys/RVD/Tazz vs. Booker T/Test/Christian/Regal Test is eliminated first when he receives the 3-D from the Dudleys at 7:03. Bub Buh is eliminated next when Christian pins him following the Unprettier at 11:26. D-Von falls following the Regal stretch at 16:42. Regal falls to the five star frog splash at 19:14. Christian uses the intercontinental belt to his Tazz and Edge comes charging to the ring, only to be stopped by the APA at ringside. Christian pins Tazz following the belt shot at 25:58. Christian taunts Edge with the belt and gets rolled up by RVD but Booker breaks it up. RVD gives Booker some right hands into the corner. Christian gets up and tries to hit RVD with the belt but nails Booker when RVD ducks. RVD comes up with a spinning heel kick and charges off the rope with the rolling senton for the pin at 26:17. Edge is still being held back on the outside. Booker is on the ground and RVD leaps to the top ropes. Five star misses and both guys are down. Ref initiates a count, and both up by eight. They trade off offense and RVD gets whipped into the ropes. Christian trips him and Booker hits the axe kick and celebrates with the spinaroonie. RVD kicks out at the last moment. Booker gets up and starts talking with the ref, while RVD attempts a roll-up. Booker stomps RVD back down. Christian gets on the apron distracting the ref and throws the belt to Booker. Booker picks it up and turns only to receive the Van Daminator, with Booker falling to the outside. RVD bounces off the ropes knocking Christian off the apron, and hits a tope con hilo on Booker. Christian comes around to try and get RVD with a chair but Edge breaks loose and hits a spear on Christian. RVD rolls Booker back into the ring. He goes for the five-star but Booker hits the ropes crotching him. Booker goes for a fall back powerbomb on RVD, but RVD punches him off. Booker comes down off the ropes onto his feet and tries to come back and powerslam RVD but RVD lands on his feet. RVD comes off with a hurricanrana and pin on Booker but Booker reverses and grabs the ropes, pinning RVD at 30:34. Two Falls, WCW and WWF Championship The Rock (WWF) vs. Chris Jericho (WCW) vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. HHH First fall comes at 16:49 when Stone Cold pins Triple H following a stunner. Jericho has the Walls locked in on Rock but releases the hold with Rock at the ropes to go after Austin. The second fall comes when Triple H hits the pedigree at 38:08 on Austin while Rock has Jericho in the sharpshooter. Jericho tapes immediately after the three, and the Rock goes on the top ropes to celebrate, thinking he won.
