Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 27, 2002 OMG I have just seen the funniest thing on NBCs Passions. On todays show 2 women are watching a generic wrestling show which is a cross between WOW and WWE the match was between the Masked CEO (Julian) and Vicky (manish looking female wrestler) and had Mark Madden as one of the announcers!!! Lil Timmy was wearing a Don King costume that he stole from Howard Sterns Beetle Juice!!! So is someone pulling double duty here or what? Does Stephanie McMahon yes people secretly write for daytime NBC? So the big question is did anybody else see this? Is Passions the best daytime show on tv? Guest Kingpk Report post Posted June 27, 2002 I turned on the TV and the first thing I saw was Tim King. I ain't flipping the channel now.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 27, 2002 most of the good stuff was in the 1st 15 minutes of the show! Timmy rules
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 27, 2002 I also saw it. Pretty funny stuff. Julian looked like a mix of IRS and the Repo Man. So that was Madden eh...i thought it was but wasn't sure. Passions may not be the "best soap", but it's easily the funnest.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 27, 2002 well there is never a dull moment in Passions, its so bad thats its good in a Jerry Springer kind of way. I wonder if Julian got out of the Airplane Spin of Doom?
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted June 27, 2002 I've seen maybe 15 minutes total in my lifetime of Passions, and I can honestly say it's like the friggin' Troma movie of soaps. (That's not a knock on Troma, as I love them. It just means that some things make no damn sense, and some things are so stupidly akward/funny/etc. that it's good). I saw some guy being seduced by an undead girl because she need him to have sex with her for some reason, and he was being held down by hands that came out of the ground. Tell me, if you're a guy, getting it on with a girl, and you feel more than two hands at a time touching you, wouldn't you get the hell off your ass and see who else is grabbing at you? Guest J*ingus Report post Posted June 27, 2002 Come on, it's fucking Passions, quite possibly the single worst show on television. (Whether that's intentional or not is still up for debate.) This is a show whose makers are so incompetent that it actually has continuity errors that apparently occur during the commercial breaks! The one I recall is a woman announcing at a wedding, "I have something to tell all of you!", then a commercial break, then... nothing. No announcement. As if she never said it at all. My god, half the greatest shows on earth are all canceled, yet utter tripe made by callous hacks like Passions is still on the air?!
Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 27, 2002 Passions is so campy so different than the other major soaps that it sets a precident of bad is good. Besides Timmy quest to be good is what that keeps me watching. Whenever there is nothing else good on cable I switch it to NBC for my daily fix of Timmy & Tabitha. Guest The Superstar Report post Posted June 29, 2002 My mom watches it for some...bizarre reason. Anyway, the stories suck, I mean, Teresa is on death row for alledgedly killing Julian, even though he's on a wrestling show (ISN'T IT OBVIOUS THAT IT'S HIM!?) and she didn't even go to court, yet she's slated to die any day now. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 29, 2002 Well the first mistake you are making is taking the show serious. The show is basically a parody of itself and all Soaps. The show doesn't pretend to be real so stop trying to make sense of it in regards to our real world. The show always makes sense in it's own little world and that's all that matters. Guest lomasmoney Report post Posted July 1, 2002 i was watching that episode with my mom and i wonder how in the hell no one could figure out that the julian guy wasn't dead and that the guy's dad knew the governor yet he waited until maria was about to get killed to figure out that the governor could pardon her. Another thing is how does Theresa go from just arriving on death row to being executed in a matter of days when the two women who make fun of her for most of the episode have been there longer and by rule should be executed first. Well no one from town has seen him since his death, the way he "died" left no body and he wore a mask while wrestling on local access tv. It isn't that big of a stretch to believe that no one knows. Theresa went from her trial to execution so quickly because Julian's father basically owns the town and is pulling on the strings on everyone to put a rush on her execution. Like i said...In our world it may be unrealistic, but it all makes sense in the world of Passions which is all that matters.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted July 1, 2002 Theresa went from her trial to execution so quickly because Julian's father basically owns the town and is pulling on the strings on everyone to put a rush on her execution. So the appeals process, federal circuit courts, and the Supreme Court don't exist in Passions' bizarre little world, huh?
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted July 2, 2002 Well she is protecting the man she loves who she was mislead to believe that he killed the guy...don't ask. Well to get to the point her lawyers pleaded with her to appeal it as long as she can so but she refused to do it so it's not like she asked for appeals and the court refused to give them to her. Her desire to rush the case to protect the man she loves and the Father's power within the city all lead to the quick trial to execution time frame. The case wouldn't have been over so quickly if the girl had allowed her lawyers to use all their tricks. The father of dead guy told the judge to find her guilty and he has the Governer in his pocket so told him to sign the execution order. Yeah you would never see this in real life but once agane this isn't real life so big deal. But here's a simple answer to this... No...no it doesn't But honestly who cares if it has a fully accurate governmental system it's a friggin soap opera fer chrissakes! If that bothers you and takes away your enjoyment then i don't think you should be watching stuff like this. It's not like this is Law & Order or some serious show that is meant to be taken serious.
