John Entwistle, aged 57, died on Thursday, shortly before the group was scheduled to begin a concert tour, according to the Reuters news agency. The announcement was made by Clark County Coroner's office in Las Vegas. The cause of death was still under investigation, said coroner Ron Flud. The Who were one of the biggest rock bands of the 1960s and 70s, with hits including the massive My Generation and Substitute source bbc.co.uk Well that's a shocker.

He truly was the most influential bassist in all of rock. The music he made as a member of the Who as well as solo changed my life. I'm so sad right now. R.I.P.
