Backstage, Stone Cold Steve Austin walked and ran into the nWo.

 

Hogan: "Hey brothers, it's Stone Cold Steve Austin."

 

Hall: "It's the Rattlesnake."

 

Nash: "Toughest SOB in the WWF."

 

Austin got in Nash's face, but Hall stopped him.

 

Hall: "Wait a minute Austin. We don't want any trouble, bro. We brought you a gift. Ice cold beer from the nWo."

 

Austin: "What?"

 

Hall: "We brought you a gift man, some beer."

 

Austin: "For me? You heard I like to drink beer?"

 

Hall: "Yeah man."

 

Austin: "I ain't thirsty."

 

Hall: "Save it for later? (Austin grabbed the beer) OK, enjoy it, Steve."

 

Austin tossed it over his shoulder and to the floor, then walked past the nWo.

 

Hall chased after the beer as it rolled slowly down the hall.

 

Hall: *pant* "I can'th geth itthh"

 

Hall trips and falls into a wall but continues wobbling after the beer.

 

Hogan: "Let the man through brothers."

My God.  The WWF repeats the same spot, with Test holding Spike in a Full Nelson, and the both of them backdropping Booker to the outside of the ring.  It was used by Scotty and Storm in the Turmoil match.

 

WWF has a cool looking idea, then they use it twice.  Nice job.

 

Test almost pins Tazz with his feet on the ropes.  Test threatens the ref, and they get into a shoving match. Tazz puts Test in the Tazzmission!  Test tapouts.

Rock with the usual generic interview.  

 

Flair5000, all the nWo members are in good shape.  Hogan's muscles are bigger than they were in WCW.  Remember that these guys have been sitting on their ass for a year, and just got in contact with the WWF two months ago.  Within a month, they should all be in top shape.

I going to predict the finish to the Edge/Regal match. Edge grabs the Knucks on a Pole, while Regal gets knucks from under the ring. Regal misses his punch and Edge hits Regal for the win.

I guess the WWF has learned that their styles clash when they wrestle, so they're just brawling.

 

Ross brings up that the knucks don't need to be used, and that you can just pin the guy before even using them.  I'd love if that happened.  Just if Edge pinned Regal, and just doesn't even acknowledge the kind of match they were in.

 

Regal with the old school abdominal stretch, and holding the ropes.  I think IRS was best at this, because the ropes would always be shaking like a mother when the ref would check on him.  The ropes are tighter now, so the effect is lessened.

 

Ouch! Regal throws Edge off the top rope, who hits the guardrail thingy.

The NWO didn't look too bad. Nash the same. Hall the same but a bit drunker. Hogan, he'll be fine as long as they super glue his bandana and Shades on. If they don't, oh man!

Ohh, no.  Edge is bleeding again.  It MUST be internal bleeding.  Maybe the guy bit his freakin' tongue.  

 

Also, do any of the fans in the arena know what's happening here?  Can the people in the first row even see Edge bleeding from his mouth?

 

Regal and Edge blow a move where Edge is supposed to flip out of (or something like that) of a powerbomb that Regal is trying to do from the apron.  Nice one.

I think the blown spot from the apron was supposed to be a Power Bomb turned into a Rana by Edge.

Regal gets the brass knucks, but Edge back suplexes Regal off the top rope.

 

Regal kicked the knucks outside the ring.

 

Odd move where Edge grabs Regal by the neck from behind, then drops back.

 

Edge sucks at selling pain.  He goes from pain, to regular.  Regal pulls out his own pair of brass knuckles, and hits Edge with them.

 

Ohhh yey.  Like we really need Month Four of Regal/Edge.

 

We get a close-up of Regal's hairy leg (didn't shave your thighs there Regal?), who pulled the knucks out of his tights.

Lillian interviews Kurt Angle.  I guess they broke the Fink out because they didn't want "Chuck O'Haire and Sean Palumbo."

 

Angle on his medals: "I didn't get these out of a box of Lucky Freakin' Charms."

 

Four matches in now, and we've had a decent PPV. No horrible matches, no great matches.  But hey, we've got a Undertaker match coming up, so we can anticipate one horrible match at least.

 

"Rollin'" plays as Taker comes out, as if I hadn't heard enough of that at WM 17.  And speaking of "Rollin'", does anyone get the sense that it's hard for teenage fans to boo someone coming out to Limp Bizkit?

Now, The Rock's taking apart the Spanish Announce Table.  I really want to get a Spanish tape with all the times they've put guys through the table.  Just to hear the guys freak out 9000 times in what is jibberish to me.

 

And because both guys can't gasp:WRESTLE:gasp, they're brawling through the crowd, to the back, and through the crowd again.
