I can't remember one point in the match where he even ran! It's obvious after the main event tonight that the Rock needs to be the center of the storylines. Even in the match w/ UT, the crowd was hot. Austin did not light the fire. They love the catchphrase, sleep through the match. And Regal needs to either change his style or get the F*** out. I'm glad he cleaned up his life but staythe hell outta the ring. That match was a 1/4* maybe. it's amazing how much heat Test can take away from three people simultaneously. there, I'm done venting!!!

And they were dead for everything else...(his facebuster on the knee got NOTHING!) That is the mark of sheep at work. They aren't interested in cheering for him...but they are told to. When they are interested in cheering for someone they chant ROCKY or cheer for your every move (Austin, RVD). HHH will be the least over face to Main Event MAnia EVER...maybe.

Yeah, in the main event of probably the second most trashed Wrestlemania ever. McMahon may be delusional, he may be a megalomaniacal dick, but I think (hope?) he would learn from that experience. Of course, I have no idea whether Trip is "that damn bad" or not, 'cause I didn't see the match. But, hell, the way most of you piss it is that Trip is the next fucking incarnation of Giant Gonzalez.

Here's the match. 15 ref bumps. four moves with the knee. olympic slam. no ref. pedigree no ref. 10 more ref bumps. two chair shots another olympic slam. Angle wins. That's called protection and does nothing to make Angle credible. Trips sucked bad and I hope his performance os frowned by ALL!!!

Even if we forget about the deductions for overbooking... HHH brought nothing and Angle couldn't carry him...because HHH was SOOO bad. RVD/Goldust was at least decent. Which is better than HHH pulled off.

Notice the difference between his return and Austins? Austin didn't push himself into the ring. Some mindless brawls (Rikishi, HHH car incient), but after a couple of months, Austin was ON!!!! Stars were all over the place. Trips is bodering on DUDs right now and shouldn't be placed this high up yet.

Well, he did put UT vs. Faarooq as the main event for KOR just months later. At WM2000 the best possible match up between the main eventers obviously wasn't that Fatal Four Way but it made the most sense in the storyline and it let those wacky McMahons be involved. Same deal. What is Steph going to do now, share the spot light with the nWo? I think she'd rather support Kurt & Jericho in trying to make sure HHH doesn't win the title. It will most likely be booked more like Jericho & Kurt w/ Steph vs. HHH instead of a triple threat. Just think, we can have more handicap matches!!!!

This next post is going to be in Vince Russo format.... Can I back my opinion up....It's a swerve a.k.a. I have nothing to back it up with. I was a fan of Russo's writing. So that probably explains why I thought the match was better. I'm not in to work-rate, but I found the match entertaining. RVD/Goldust should of been a spot-fest. HHH is getting new music by WM. I read that on some site. The guys who sang "Let the bodies hit the floor" did HHH's new music. They might play it at WM. And yes, the WWF has a new CD coming out.

They already tried that this past week and HHH was Test level bad in bringing the suck. Now with the new body and slow moveset and overprotection, everyone's comparing him to Hogan. Talk about 180 degrees

Chris Jericho is the champion. 2. HHH sucks in the ring right now. 3. Austin and the Rock have already lost to Jericho 2 times at the last 3 ppvs. 4. The best choice for an opponent at this point is Kurt Angle. 5. The show itself will center on the NWO vs. top faces in the WWF. What SHOULD the Main Event at Mania be?
Guest ManKinnd Posted February 18, 2002 Report Posted February 18, 2002 Tag Team Turmoil - **** RVD/Goldust - *** Tazz/Spike vs. Booker/Test - DUD Edge/Regal - ***1/2 Rock/Taker - **1/4 HHH/Angle - *** Jericho/Austin - ***1/4 It was alright. I don't agree with giving up hope for HHH after ONE FREAKING MATCH. No one gave up on Austin after his first few bad matches back. Granted, they were with Rikishi, but ring rust happens to the best of them. Remember this was his first PPV match back (RR obviously doesn't count.) I say the next 4 weeks will be very interesting, seeing as how I can't definately predict one single match for the WM card, because I really doubt Jericho/Angle or Flair/UT will happen.
