Guest Kotzenjunge Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 Ever notice how there are some songs that are really good when loud, but kinda lame when played at normal volume, or are good at normal volume, but GREAT when loud? With some songs, if it's turned up, you can really feel it, especially emotional-type stuff. This came to me as I was listening to "Tear Away" by Drowning Pool. Then again, maybe I like songs loud so I can't hear myself sing along. Songs that need to be loud: "Here to Stay," Korn "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me," U2 The second half of "Hey Jude" "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," U2 The trippy part of "A Day in the Life," when the man on the bus goes into a dream "Any Way You Want It," Journey Pretty much any Trance Those are a few. Anyone else think this about certain songs?
Guest Shaved Bear Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 >"Any Way You Want It," Journey> agreed
Guest razazteca Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 Prodigy "Breathe" must be played loud "Club to Death" remix must be loud Booty Bass rap music must be loud Fear Factory "Edge Crusher" must be loud anything by Ministry or Nine Inch Nails must be loud "Fuck the Police" and "Cop Killer" are best heard with 12 inch woofers in a Ford Bronco while driving through town.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 Helluva lotta Tool songs, mostly the singles. "Sober" and "Aenema" come to mind rather quickly.
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 >"Any Way You Want It," Journey> agreed haha, you caddyshack marks! agreed anyway.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 Hey, I will readily admit my markdom for Caddyshack and that song.
Guest redbaron51 Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 Master of Puppets by Metallica Hallowed Be Thy Name by Iron Maiden

Guest MrRant Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 Hey, I will readily admit my markdom for Caddyshack and that song. Those that don't mark for Caddyshack should burn in hell.
Guest Nevermortal Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 "South of Heaven" by Slayer, or the uber "Malice Through the Looking Glass" by Cradle of Filth.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 Tool: Sober Stinkfist Ticks And Leeches Metallica: master of puppets, seek and destroy<live>,whereever i may roam Megadeth: ALL of countdown to extinction
Guest Ignatz Belzner Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 Metallica: I'm partial to Battery, but Master of Puppets clearly = win Slayer: Uhhhmm...all of it? Prodigy: Beathe and Firestarter Sex Pistols: Anarchy in the UK and God Save The Queen Bob Marley: Jammin' and I Shot The Sheriff (Wait...metal...punk...reggae?!? Long live eclecticism!) Jimi Hendrix: RED HOUSE~! Pink Floyd: Welcome To The Machine and Hey You Korn: Anything they have that sounds good, sounds better loud. Pantera: See Slayer. For that matter, the same goes for Motorhead (makes the secret Sign of Lemmy) and System of a Down. And that's all I can think of right now
Guest Kinetic Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 "Any Way You Want It," Journey This is my vow to you all: Before I die, I will strap on my mirrored shades, put on a pair of short cut-off jean shorts and a red mesh tank top, and wash my car blasting this and Foreigner's "Hot Blooded" as loud as conceivably possible. I'll dance, too. That is all.
Guest El Satanico Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 Well kinetic, you'd also need to get a late 70's/early 80's Camaro or Firebird and grow a mullet to complete that horrible scene.
Guest Kinetic Posted July 5, 2002 Report Posted July 5, 2002 Well kinetic, you'd also need to get a late 70's/early 80's Camaro or Firebird and grow a mullet to complete that horrible scene. You share my vision.
