Guest Si82 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 I was just watching an old episode of Raw Is War from the 21st April 1997. The one with the Bret Hart/Steve Austin streetfight/ambulance angle and the returns of both Shawn Michaels and Brian Pillman. Anyway, I would have to say that it was my favourite episode or Raw ever! I was wondering what other people's were?
Guest El Gigante Report post Posted June 28, 2002 mine also has to be the Stone Cold/Bret Hart street fight episode. It was two hours of action and excitement. J.R. "The Streetfight is on!"
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 i didn't really get into watching every raw until early 98 so I'm going to say the Owen Hart tribute show. It is the only Raw that I have went out and purchased simply because there has never been a wrestling show like it. that show was two hours of raw emotion and it was the best ever IMO. jeff jarrett beating test with the sharpshooter was and still is a huge markout moment for me. Guest BigTim2002 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 I think that the one with Owen/Bulldog vs. Austin/Michaels was outstanding, as the heat for the entire show was great. Also, San Ho, 5/1/01, With Kurt Angle giving Skippy the Angle Slam off the podium, and then Benoit/Jericho beating The Power Trip for the titles...YAY. Greatest RAW...ever. Guest Drury37 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 My favorite WWF Raw ever was the one where Marty Jannetty beat Shawn Michaels for the WWF Intercontinental Title. Thanks.
Guest BigTim2002 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Oh Drury, you SO rule for saying that match. I forgot about that. 1993 MOTY...damn...
Guest Drury37 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 If I am not mistaking that was the same WWF Raw that The Kid beat Razor Ramon. Thanks.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 you are correct drury. it was May 17, 1993 that both of those matches took place.
Guest Drury37 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Yeah, that was an awesome WWF Raw!!! Thanks.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 the card that night was: The Smoking Gunns defeated Tony Vadja & Glenn Ruth The Kid pinned Razor Ramon with a moonsault off the top onto a standing Razor Tatanka pinned Scott Taylor Yokozuna pinned Kamala Marty Jannetty pinned WWF IC Champion Shawn Michaels with an inside cradle to win the title after Mr. Perfect threw his towel in Michaels' face
Guest El Gigante Report post Posted June 28, 2002 forgot about that, that was a show for the ages.
Guest papacita Report post Posted June 28, 2002 My favorite Raw was the 8/24/98 Raw from Philly that had Taker and Kane get together and the HIAC between Mankind and Kane, partially because I was there, and also because it was a damn good show. Right behind that would be the Raw where Michaels and Austin won the Tag belts, followed by the one where Jannetty won the I-C Belt and the Kid beat Razor. I also enjoyed the Bret/Austin Street fight, the Flair/Perfect retirement match, and the Raw the day after Rumble 96 where Vader attacked Gorilla Monsoon was classic. Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 i also really enjoyed the raw right after wrestlemania 14. x-pac returns to stir the pot, and the outlaws join DX after the main event cage match.
Guest Drury37 Report post Posted June 28, 2002 The WWF Raw with Mr.Perfect Vs.Ric Flair in the Retirement Match was awesome, but I still have to say my favorite WWF Raw of all time was when The Kid defeated Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty defeated Shawn Michaels to win the WWF Intercontinetal Title. Thanks.
Guest papacita Report post Posted June 28, 2002 The Raw the week before the Retirement match was hot too. I haven't seen it since I was 9 so I don't remember too much of it, but Flair and Perfect were brawling all over the building. If I said I marked out for that, that'd be an understatement. Another good one was the Shawn/Marty rematch where Marty came right out and one the I-C belt, only to have the decision reversed during the commercial break and the match restarted. Damn, I miss 93. Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 29, 2002 Way to many to chose from. Already mentioned shows I liked were after the Rumble of 96, after WM XIV. I also like the one where VKM was at gunpoint by Steve Austin. Of the course the one I attended when the Rock d. Jericho for the WCW title.

Guest papacita Report post Posted June 29, 2002 Shit, I'm really just posting this just to be posting, but does anybody remember the Raw tapings from the Ice Palace in Tampa after IYH it's time in December 96? Of all the Raw tapings they had that year, those were the best, IMO. One show they had a face to face promo between Bret and Shawn, and they tore into one another before Sid interrupted. He came down to the ring, and when Shawn tossed him the mic, he gets on the mic and says "Thank you my man!", which I thought was funny as hell for whatever reason. Then he goes on to say that he beat Bret and Shawn, so basically he needs more competition, when suddenly Undertaker's gong hits, and the he comes out to ringside. He gets halfway up the aisle when, for whatever reason, Vader runs out from the back and clotheslines. So Vader's beats up Taker, then it looks like he and Sid are about to fight on the floor, then the camera suddenly cuts to the ring where Michaels crotches Bret on the middle rope, then jumps over the top and goes after Sid. That whole segment was crazy as hell, plus this was during the period where Austin was doing his random attacks on Bret... Speaking of which, that brings me to the Raw after Final Four where Bret lost the World Title to Sid. The title match was supposed to start off the show, but it got postponed because Austin came out, attacked Bret and then took Sid's knee out. Then when they tried to start it the 2nd time, Bret was attacked by Austin backstage. The match itself was pretty cool, because if I'm not mistaken, this was where Bret debuted the ringpost Figure Four. The show was pretty unpredictable, had some good action, and featured Jerry Lawler's challenge to ECW, which in itself would've made that Raw IMO. And then the Raw where Bret started cursing...I'm sorry. I've got too many favorites. Someone else.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 29, 2002 i have to mention when tommy dreamer and rvd ran into the ring during a wwf vs. wcw match and then the ecw team joined in. in my opinion the alliance wouldn't have been labelled as a failure if ecw was kept as a separate company from wcw. they would have been more over than the wwf and wcw combined. Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted July 4, 2002 are we posting on WWFG Monday Night Raw (1993-1997) or WWF Raw (1997 on)? MNR: Beefcakes return. Had a cool battle royal, plus started the buildup for hulkamania to return. and Jimmy Hart turned face that night. RAW: 1/4/99 RAW with Mankind winning the title. Guest Si82 Report post Posted July 4, 2002 are we posting on WWFG Monday Night Raw (1993-1997) or WWF Raw (1997 on)? Any Raw/Monday Night Raw. I was thinking that I quite liked the time that Razor Ramon beat the crap oout of Goldust before Royal Rumble 1996. That was a good one.
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted July 4, 2002 The Final Nitro/Raw episode was fucking tremendous. I mean, Vince on WCW TV....surreal.
Guest Grenouille Report post Posted July 5, 2002 My picks. 7/14/97-Debut of Dude Love and the already hot Hart Foundation angle continued. I figure this mostly because of the Dude, a big markout moment personally. 12/8/97 & 7/1/02, just because I was there live.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 5, 2002 so was shane walking out during nitro and even the graphic of his name done by wcw made me marking out a bit.
Guest papacita Report post Posted July 5, 2002 The Final Nitro/Raw episode was fucking tremendous. I mean, Vince on WCW TV....surreal. I didn't have cable back then, but when I heard what happened, that was the weirdest feeling I've ever had as far as wrestling goes. I remember just going to WCW.com and staring at this big picture of Shane McMahon. Surreal is the best word to describe it.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 5, 2002 i guess surreal is the way to put the image of shane-o-mac standing in a wcw ring addressing vince who was live on raw.
