Guest liberal Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 Hello, I am a regular buyer from a number of tape traders and thought why not start trading myself. I was wondering what advice any of you would give as to how to go about starting up. What to do, what not to do. Any advice that you could give me would be great.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 Make a tape list. Start a small website (Geocities, Hometown, Angelfire, etc.) to post your tapelist. Make a want list, so people know whether or not they have what you want before they e-mail you. Then just take it from there.
Guest goodhelmet Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 be honest! if the quality sucks, say it sucks. you will build a better reputation by being honest than by having 1000 tapes. deliver your tapes quickly. certain people i have made trades with have not come through on thier side of the deal and have avoided me. make sure you have people who can verify you are a quality trader. i made the mistake of trusting someone to come through without verifying thier trader status and I have been burned. use quality high grade tapes! and whatever rob said!
