Guest Neil-o-Mac Report post Posted June 28, 2002 I'm a musician (or so I claim to be ) and today, in a fit of boredom, I wrote, recorded, mixed, mastered, MP3d and uploaded a new song today, and now I want you crazy people to listen to it. It's called What I Deserve, and it's, well, an oddball blues tune about mental institutions, S&M fat chicks and killer robot invaders from the planet X'Chnaych. It's at http://www.btinternet.com/~mad_dog_mcd/deserve.mp3 And here are the lyrics. WHAT I DESERVE By Neil McDougall © 2002 Well, I woke up in the clinic, With a needle in my arm, My arms are pinned down to the bed, To keep me safe from harm, The doctor comes with more drugs, To settle down my head, Don't want to live my life this way, I wish that I was dead, But that's what I deserve, For being an institutionalised mental case patient. ELECTRIC SOLO (interspersed with cries of "THE VOICES!" "AARRRGGGHH!" and "NOT THE PINK ELEPHANTS AGAIN! NOOOOOOooooo...." ;-) Well, I woke up in a strange bed, Not wearing any clothes, I try to get my bearings, The room is filled with ho's. I find a prophylactic, I think that it's been used, Why do I sleep with fat chicks? I think it must be the booze, But that's what I deserve, For being a sexually active male in surburban Wyoming. ELECTRO ACCOUSTIC SOLO (interspersed with "Not the whip! Oh my God!" "No, darling! I don't want to wear the gimp mask!", "You're not fat, you're just big boned! No, really!" and "Okay, you're a fat b*tch. F*ck off!") Well I landed in a city, I'm armed and dangerous, Here comes the local forces, They say it's him or us, I mow them down with rockets, I know that I am hated, But they launch a nuclear warhead, Explosively deactivated, But that's what I deserve, For being a killer alien robot invader from the planet X'Chnaych. WIPE THEM OUT! CRAZY FUQUED UP ROBOT NOISES OF DOOM~! Well you may scoff at the stories, But I tell you that they're true, Well, except the one about the robot, But that's just between me and you. I hoped you learned your lesson, Don't turn and walk away, But you never paid attention, You can't see another way But that's what I deserve, For writing this fuclking stupid song in the first place If anyone's interested in the gear I used to record it, I can post that. Enjoy. Neil McD
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Not bad or anything, but the music made it sound too much like a parody song. If that's what you were going for, then kudos, but it wasn't my cup of tea.

I'm not depressed enough to do proper blues, so I thought I'd take the piss a bit and make it a bit wacky. It's not a parody of any particular song, it's just a 12-bar blues with wierd lyrics Neil
