Do you think WWE missed the boat on Bautista after seeing him in-ring last night?

 

I think that if you were to insert Bautista in Brock's place right now, the "next big thing" gimmick would be more effective. Bautista has more of a killer look and he is more imposing than Brock. I'm not saying he would be any better or worse in the ring, I just think that Bautista has more of a star look than Brock.

he was just brought in wrong. sticking him with d-von was a horrible idea from the get go. he is a really impressive specimen and once he breaks away from d-von he will probably get over.

I think having Bautista as he is now will be MORE effective than Lesnar's current push. Instead of them forcing people to look at Bautista as "the next big thing", Bautista will PROVE what he is made of, without all of the talk about him. That is what will get him over, and he has the talent, look, attitude, etc... to do it without having to tell the fans how to look at him. Lesnar on the other hand may need what he has not, to ultimately get over. Either way though, they'll both be huge in time, regardless of what they are doing right now.

They saw the potential of Brock Lesnar sang his praises for a Year plus, about the amazing Shooting star press to a opponent on the center of the ring. We haven't seen it of him in the WWE... Guess they were impressed at what he can do but its irrelevant. Brock's Push been great, but here we are in Awe of Batistia who wasn't even in 5 minutes in the ring but it basically crushed Brock's 3 month push. Which is the Monster...Which is the Unstoppable Juggernaught...Which is the Next big thing? Brock and Batistia should have been put in the same Stable managed by Heyman..and Add Benoit in the mix and others whom look as Intense. But... we are talking about the "Logical" Mind of Vince McMahon here. So I suppose it is fitting to put some Behemoth with a Former Dudley boy turned Preacher... oki doki

The WWE should have Batista get "posessed" by a demon and turn him into Leviathan. Then let him just turn against D-von and just go on a rampage all over the Smackdown wrestlers because to me he looks more imposing than Brock. Now I'm wondering who would win in a pro-wrestling match, Brock or Deacon?

I'm pretty sure that eventually they will revert him to Leviathan simply because it's easier to remember and much more marketable than Bautista. Though I would settle calling him "The Leviathan" Dave Bautista or whatever his real full name is.

If they both are marketed correctly and actually show decent talent, I do see some money being drawn in a Lesnar vs Leviathan Clash of the Titans match sometime down the road. Of course, Vince loves his big men, so I won't be surprised if it happens despite them both sucking Big Show ass.

I could really dig that whole "Bautista turns into a demon" thing that Nevermortal talked about but knowing the WWE and Vince they'll do what they're eventually going to do with Brock:

 

D'von and Bautista loose a tag match, D'von begins slapping Bautista around, telling him he's worthless. Fans get behind Bautista, wanting him to turn. Bautista eventually turns. Smark my words, Bautista will come out of this one the face.

 

Sub Brock for Bautista and Heyman for D'von and you're set.

They are both talented and should both be big stars one day. If they let Brock wrestle, and stop all this power nonsense, he will be the next Kurt Angle. Sure he has no heat or anything right now, but give him some time. Solong as the WWE doesn't fuck up his push THAT bad.

I totally agree with Batista eventually being the bigger star. Hey, he was in OVW.

 

Lemme make a comparison. Lesnar is like Mike Awesome in ECW. He can bust out a shooting star press, powerbomb guys through tables outside the ring, but he still won't be over. The ECW fans never ever really liked Awesome aside from his brutal stuff with Tanaka. He seemed campy and had no charisma, much like Brock.

 

Would anyone else like to see an RVD/Leviathan match?

I saw a picture of him in OVW with a huge chain around him. It was probably the scariest I've ever seen a wrestler look.
