Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 29, 2002 Report Posted June 29, 2002 Whoa... new board... this is weird. OK, I've only been gone two weeks, but I know SOMEBODY had to miss me, right? Anyway, has anything important happened on the board, the site, and the wrestling world since I've been gone (uhh... besides the obvious board change of course... I've never heard of the Invision system but if it has smilies like and it's gotta be worth SOMETHING at least)? I heard Russo was back, and even though I haven't watched King of the Ring yet I know Brock won. I plan on watching the tape tonight, but first I'll read Dames' recap to see what I should fast-forward through. As for my trip, the Midwest is... well, it's the Midwest. There's not much to do. In Minneapolis I saw my relatives and went to the Mall of America and spent about $80 (how patriotic! ), then went to Flora, Illinois to visit my grandpa, and there wasn't much to do there... I read about 500 pages of Lord of the Rings in about 3 days. I didn't really like the movie that much, but DAMN! the book makes it look like... uhhh... really likable. If I had the sense of mind to post in "Comic Books & Literature" I could tell why I think Fellowship of the Ring (the book) sucks, but The Two Towers seems OK so far. I'm almost done with that one, then just one more book and two movies and I can be done with that FOREVER! ::claps hands, and a mysterious individual arrives to provide EVIL LAUGHTER~!:: What really disappointed me about the Midwest though is that I didn't get to see any hot trailer trash (not even Nidia! ), or even any hot farm girls, who have some of the same appeals as trailer trash except they're respectable, hard-working, and decent (I tried to explain this to my mom but she got really mad at me... go figure...). Anyway... yea, that's where I've been for two weeks. Oh! I also went to a summer orientation at UC Santa Cruz... BANANA SLUGS 0WN J00~! wh00! Uhh... yea...

Check out how the Party Convention went! Also, look at the TRAGEDY that unfolded on 6/19, the day that we moved to this board.

Trust me, in the Midwest, it seemed like a LOT longer... so much longer... anyway, I'll try and catch up with State of America stuff, particularly this convention thing I missed. Thanks for the welcomings back Flyboy and Your Majesty and RetroRob, I'll check out your column... right now Oh, quick question... what kind of a face is ? Is that a kind of a sly face, or an alternate form of rolling the eyes, or...? I need to learn how to best use these new emoticons.

EWR has gotten a lot of hype, and rightfully so...it kicks ass. Download it YESTERDAY~! It'll keep you up for hours. You can read up on it in the Video Games forum. The Brock Lesnar backlash on the board is finding it's stride. Um... That's pretty much all the new stuff I can think of. Of course, it's a Fri. night and I'm home because everyone is working or sleeping or doing whatever, so I'm sure I'll remember something else to tell you at some point.
