Guest Your Olympic Hero1 Report post Posted June 29, 2002 MP3's/WAV - Winamp Real Video/Audio - RealOne WMV - Windows Media Player MOV files - Quicktime I tried Media Jukebox, but the thing is a resource HOG. Seeing the majority of my files are MP3, I can do without an all-in-one player for now...

Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted July 4, 2002 I'd have to say that WinAmp's slogan is 100% accurate. It really DOES whip the llama's ass.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted July 5, 2002 MusicMatch (burning CDs is fun!) Ultraplayer to make playlists and I use the old Windows Media Player to actually play mp3s and mpegs etc...
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted July 6, 2002 Winamp for all music except for CDs. It spazzes out when I try to play them, so I just use Windows Media Player for CDs. I use WMP for all video files except .mov (which is Quicktime) I don't have Real Player. Hooray for me.

Guest VillanoVII Report post Posted August 2, 2002 For CD burning and MP3's and Wavs I use Music Match (plus Music Match will convert from MP3 to WAV really easily) for MPEGS and AVI's I use Windows Media I sometimes use Winamp I hardly run across Quick Time files and I hate Real Player, but if I have to use it I will
Guest DrTom Report post Posted August 4, 2002 For music, I use Music Match Pro. It kicks Winamp's ass in every imaginable way, IMO. For video, I use Windows Media Player 8. I have the DIVX and mp4 codecs, so I can play anything I downloa . . . er, acquire with WMP.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted August 4, 2002 Eh.. I find Music Match HORRID.. and Winamp, too.. UltraPlayer all the way.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 4, 2002 Im liking Quicktime 6 for mpeg4 capability (video file compression)..but no ones making mpeg4 encoded videos, so its worthless. MPEG 4 and DIVX are two different things, and no one is making straight MPEG 4 encoded stuff. a 30 second clip in MPEG 4 is under 1mb! (or so I hear)..
