Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted June 29, 2002 I visit 411wrestling about a million times a day, but when I just went on today about six pop-ups came up and when I clicked on a news item, two more appeared aswell. Is this driving anyone else nuts consitering how they always rag on 1wrestling for that?

Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted June 29, 2002 The thing I didn't like about the pop-up stopper I had was that it wouldn't let me open new windows on my own. I like to be looking at several things at the same time, not sure why.
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted June 30, 2002 I tried one of those pop-up stoppers once, it wouldn't let me see two out of five websites and screwed up my internet, so no. Now can you dig that?

Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 30, 2002 the 411 pop-ups are sporadic, whereas 1bob has like 3 on every page every time you visit.
Guest swan Report post Posted July 2, 2002 I tried one of those pop-up stoppers once, it wouldn't let me see two out of five websites and screwed up my internet, so no. Now can you dig that? The stopper on www.panicware.com requires you to hold the control key down to open a new window. Small price to pay to surf without pop-ups. Ihve used it since November of last year and no problems. Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Two wrestling sites that piss me off with their popups: wwe.com pwtorch.com The second I go on wwe.com, be it to read an interview, the ross report, or to watch byte this, there is always some stupid fucking popup that appears right when i'm highlighting the headlines or any other section, about to hit my mouse. It drives me fucking nuts. The same goes for the pwtorch website. I'm about to scroll down to check out the latest wrestling news, and some stupid ass popup shows up telling me to go to match.com, asking me if I want to go to the Bahamas for a super low rate, or telling me bullshit ways to earn money online. I used popupkiller for a little while, but the shit only worked 50% of the time.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 I use Opera as my browser. No pop-ups for me.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Easy solution: go into your IE security settings, and go into restricted sites. Then set the security level to high. This disables all the garbage like java, javascript, activeX, etc. that power popups. Then when you find an offending site, just add it to your list of restricted sites. While this can be a bit of a pain, it's better than a program that limits what you can do.
