The One & Only Velocity/Confidential/

Recommended Posts

Guest dreamer420

here's my two cents on the evening:

5:00 confidential - the premiere episode where vince mcmahon and shawn michaels show what kind of humans they really are. on the good side it was nice to see the inside of trish's house again but it wasn't cool for the wwe to try and grab ratings off of bret hart's name at a time like this.

6:00 confidential - this was a great show. i haven't seen clips of the angle/mcmahon match since i watched it live last year. it was awesome to see again and i loved hearing jurt and shane talk about the match. also i enjoyed the rock and sock connection segment but i'm always a mark for foley comedy. the rest of the show was filler but interesting enough. william regal is turning out to be a pretty facinating guy.

7:00 velocity - what a crappy show. tajiri and albert stunk, and so did michael cole and tazz tonight more than usual. kidman and funaki was decent enough as was noble and chavo but velocity is way too much of a highlight show now.

9:00 wwe: divas undressed - who didn't love this. jackie is the new love interest in dreamer420's life, nidia looked like hot trailer trash, and stacy and torrie never disappoint. rico provided a few good laughs. the only thing that lack was trish. when jazz knocked her out i knew she would be gone from the show and i was looking forward to seeing more of her.

It was a reality show rip off cause the divas were "competing" to get on the cover of the wwf divas magazine.

They did a magazine vote last year to see who got on the cover. Why would that have an on-air competition?

it was obviously just a t&a show to grab some ratings. a damn fine job it did too.

Regarding the poll-

I met Kirsten Dunst when she quote "looked liked shit" but she was still amazingly hot in an amazingly awesomeriffic way.

Divas thing was hilarious and great-

Torrie, Stacey, DAWN MARIE!, Jackie and Trish all looked fantastic and the stuff with Rico, Mae and King was hilarious

Wow, I almost feel the exact opposite way. I thought Confidential was quite boring save for Shane vs. Kurt and Velocity was great this week. You can't go wrong with cruiserweights all around. The highlights are to be expected, they didn't have any more highlights this week than they did ever since the show was Shotgun Saturday Night.

Tajiri vs. Albert: I liked this match because of Tajiri's speed is a great combination with Albert hoss-ness. Watching Tajiri counter a bunch of Albert's offence and seeing him not get totally buried throughout was a big plus. I loved it when Tajiri attempted a Kick of Doom, and Albert just swiped it away.

Hurricane vs. Christian: A fine match, it had a bit of everything; comedy, SHINING WIZAARRRDDD, and a fair finish for a Velocity match. Nothing special, but certainly better than almost every match you'd find on the A-shows.

Funaki vs. Kidman I found a bit disappointing (Frankensteiners just aren't a believable finish anymore). Funaki looked very plain with a very bland arsenal of moves, and the taunting to the crowd after every move has been taken to an EXTREME.

Noble vs. Chavo was excellent. The only problem I sensed was that they spent too much time on restholds. But any WWE match with an Exploder '98 and a Northern Lights Suplex to counter a Tornado DDT is automatically a solid, entertaining match in my book.

Confidental sucked except for the Angle/Shane segment. Velocity was alright. Dawn Marie and Jackie looked good as hell tonight. Also Nidia has got ass. Didn't need to see Rico and Mae Young. Heyman was funny as hell tonight.

..just what in the hell type of kick/move was it that Helms did to Christian in that match just now?

I think it was an inverted Shining Wizard.

It was a Shining Wizard II, a kick to the face instead of a knee.

Divas: Undressed was about a million times better than it had any right to be.

Maybe not a million times, but it did keep me entertained. It was certainly a lot better than the Sex on the Beach special.

It was a DANGEROUS WIZARD. A DANGEROUS WIZARD. Not a Shining Wizard or a Shining Wizard II. A DANGEROUS WIZARD.

Shining Wizard = Knee to face

Shining Wizard II = i dont know

DANGEROUS WIZARD = Kick to back of the head

AND HE STOLE IT FROM ME!!!!!!!!!!! (Check SJL stats thread and check for yourself, ITS MY MOVE!!!)

And that reminds me. D'LO BROWN. I GOT BEEF WITH YOU. SUDDEN IMPACT = VERSION OF MY MOVE!!!!! (Check SJL stats again)

Oh yeah, Nidia is fucking hot and Dawn Marie......*drools*

Dangerous Wizard? The fuck? It's either Shining Black or Shining Wizard II. There's a Shining Wizard Axe Kick (aka SW3), you might be thinking of that. Helms kicks the side of the head.

I tried watchin Velocity and ::puke:: it was horrible. Its better if you put it on mute, cause Cole/Tazz just ruin the show with the commentating. Notice how they showed them at the announcing table when a match wasn't going on but when there was a match, they were gone. Fd up.

Confidential was a middle show for me. They already showed the Divas Undresed segment last week!! The Tough Enough segment was really stupid. I loved the Angle/Shane segment though. I hope they do something like that again. I also loved the Rock and Sock Connection segment. I wish they would show more great RAW moments from the past every once in a while. That segment is still hilarious, even clipped as it was.

Undressed was okay. I liked it for what it was. I liked how Paul Heymen got the big ECW chant, and coach was thinking, shut up its dead already!, WWE forever. Funny stuff.

Well, they were in New York, what exactly do they expect when they put Paul Heyman out there?

Anyway, I only watched a bit of Velocity and Confidential because of Cowboy Bebop (Cartoon Network) and I was watching the Wrestle War 89 Steamboat/Flair match on the Triple H dvd. Before I go any farther, the match is awesome in so many ways.

Undressed was eye candy, some good eye candy. However, I noticed how they had Trish and Molly not get into the competition much. Good logic if they're actually considering making their feud serious.

Or is the feud over?

The funny thing is, I remember watching This Is Your Life with a bunch of people, and I hated it. I was waiting for them to get on with the show because it was dragging on forever. There were a lot of people laughing at it, but I thought it would have been better if they would have kept that long segment alot shorter.

A few notes...

-Never saw Shane/Angle from KOTR. That was some awesome stuff, have to go out and get that PPV NOW.

-Was that the late "Loch Ness" battling Regal in the Blackpool Circus? I remember Ness coming from Europe, just not where.

-Paul Heyman=GOLD. He is the next Bobby Heenan, thank ya very much.

-Great selection of judges. Everyone played a vital part in the storyline that night (Ex: Edge)

-Those personal one-on-one interviews with the judges were surprisingly GAY, especially Snow and Edge (even mentioning the thought of Coach and Gaburick in a thong? WHY!?!)

May I be the first to say that I absolutely LOATHED that "WCW Nitro Girl Search" when it first started. HATED IT. After the past couple of months, let me say that I'm not alone in saying that I'm thankful for those who provided us with the sheer presence of Stacy Keibler. Thank you Eric. Thank you WCW. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Keibler.

Supposedly the segment was supposed to be much shorter, but Mick and the Rock decided to stretch it out. When it was over Vince was PISSED until the next morning when the ratings came in. After that he would let Mick and the Rock have unlimited time for their promos.

I actually liked Divas Undressed and not just because I'm a pervert. I thought Paul Heyman's facials were hilarious. Maven had his moments too. The pen flying out of his mouth was a nice touch. And good god, the skit between Jackie Gayda and Stacy was the worst acting I've seen in a LONG time. I mean, I know they didn't have much to work with but come on. Overall, it was one of those campy, corny, shows like the Slammys used to be, where everyone gets a chance to just be act stupid in a good way. This show needed some Bobby Heenan though.
