Guest Trivia247 Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 What was your favorite old school wrestler entrace... Mine is wayyyy back in the day Roddy Piper's Long Scottish procession of Bag pipers and Drums in front as he comes out behind them. imagine being in the arena waiting on the match and you faintly start to hear the drums...then they get louder along with the Bagpipes as they come down the aisle parade style.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 They taught me to be a bastard at school, they could of at least taught you english...its ENTRIES And the Undertaker had the coolest entrance, and he still does, hands down. This has been the A++++ Taker Mark
Guest caboose Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 Undertaker from WM14 in 1998, oh wait thats not 5 years. Austin from WM13 qith the shattering glass... OR ...the WM3 entrances for everyone on the milk float things, especially Steamboat's, cos his music ruled and of course so did he.
Guest FakeRazor Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 Sycho Sid's entrance with the BIG ass pyro that spelled out his name was awesome. The only thing that ruled about Sid, his entrance. Taker always had solid entrances, ditto for HBK (WM12 especially). Austin's shattering glass entrance from WM13 was awesome too. Oh, and I'm forever a mark for the mini ring entrances.
Guest AM The Kid Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 Piper's did kick ass. I liked the start of the shattering glass, I believe it was at Wrestlemania or Survivor Series and they had a glass panel that had to raise before the wrestlers came out but Austin just kicked through it and walked through all the shattered glass. Undertaker's entrance was always so erie. I loved Shawn Micheals flying over the crowd at Wrestlemania as well.
Guest dpac Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 i always liked road warriors from n.w.a. days, as soon as iron man hit you knew there was going to be some ass kickin
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 demolition was it for me. the pounding music and the awesome ax and smash walking to the ring in masks was the bomb.
Guest papacita Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 I thought I mentioned this in my last post but I didn't, but Taker's entrance used to scare the shit outta me when I was little. I remember before he grew his hair long to where it covered his face, the cameraman used to get a close up of him underneath his hat, and when he used to roll his eyes into the back of his head I used to just freak out. Not to mention to gong. I used to turn the TV down during his entrance just to keep from hearing it, it used to scare me so much. It wasn't until I first saw it in person (KOTR 95: Everybody's favorite PPV) that I realized how cool it was. As for HBK, his entrances were cool for the music alone, and he really knew how to get the crowd hyped up. The WM entrance was great, but a lot of his face entrances as a face stand out in my mind, especially after he got his pyro.
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 taker's was always great too. the bell tolling followed by the eerie music in the dark arena was scary as a kid.
Guest Drury37 Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 I always liked Bret Hart's entrance,I just thought it was cool when his music would start playing and the crowd would go crazy and bret hart would walk done shaking hands with the fans.I liked his entrance at WWF WrestleMania VIII a lot because it was kind of a long walk to get to the ring and you knew it was a big match when Bret Hart wore the all pink outfit!!! Thanks.
Guest TheHulkster Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 Hands down, the Ultimate Warrior had the best older entrance. I always liked Hogan's too, go figure.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 oy! No one has mentioned Flair. I know in one of his matches he came out with the trumpeters and a shitload of women. He just ruled when he came out with a ton of women.
Guest Lucha Hogan Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 Jake "the snake" Roberts entrance was pretty cool!
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 Bad News Brown had a cool entrance. All black and he just walked out of the darkness. Very cool.
Guest Choken One Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 The Undertaker is KING of Kick Ass entrances. From his very first one at Survivor Series 1990 until the debut of Rollin' arrived...They all ruled. Don't forget 1996 Mankind...Errie ass music playing with Foley's slow walk and his tearing out hair...ruled it all.
Guest Combat Apparatus Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 Well, best music hands down goes to the Aerican Males, but the best entrance had to have been Ric Flair. That was a shitload of women.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 As for worst entrances, I would have to say when Superstars came down in those stupid carts that looked like a mini ring. Sorta like when relief pitchers rode out to the mound in golf carts.
Guest Combat Apparatus Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 What about Jake "The Snake" Roberts' snake-cock entrance from Heros of Wrestling? Wheres that rank in the history of wrestling entrances?
Guest Prime Time Andrew Doyle Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 L.O.D from Summerslam 92
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 I liked in one of the Flair/Steamboat matches where Flair came to the ring like 46? (i think) women. Flair was the man.
Guest Austin3164life Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 Personally, I like the first Austint theme where the glass used to shatter at the entrance, but if you're talking old-school, I would have to go with the Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase. His "money' theme is probably the reason I started liking him (other than his workrate and oersona).....
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 I liked in one of the Flair/Steamboat matches where Flair came to the ring like 46? (i think) women. Flair was the man. i think it was from wrestlewar 91 wasn't it?
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 Wrestlewar 89* Dreamer is stoned as always lol
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 the reason i didn't know is because i have the match on tape, but it is some weird ass comp so that is why i forgot. i know that wrestlewar 91 was ***** wargames.
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 The minicarts from Wrestlemania's III and VI ruled Kablam!
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 those did rule. i doubt we will ever see them again (since they didn't use them in the skydome this year) but they were cool.
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 I think not since they are kinda cartoony.
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 still, i know a lot of people who would mark for the tiny mini-ring carts.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 I sure would mark out. It would make a great mini-gimmick for Crash Holly, though. Have some dufus-driver swerve it back and forth w/ Crash looking terrified. The beauty of it would be that after the match, instead of walking up the ramp, hop in the driver's seat (the original driver would be long gone) and ride it back to the dressing room, ala The Undertaker. Ahhh, it'd put a cookie-eatin grin on my face!
