All Nighters

After last night's mini-marathon, do you think it would be cool to do a WWF All-Nighter on a Saturday night sorta like WCW did once or twice? They could do it at the World or the Excess studio, and just do like 12 hours of old matches and stuff from both libraries. Maybe break it into segments like best of SummerSlam, Best of WCW, best of Raw, best of 80s WWF, and stuff like that.

If they push Velocidential back from 10-11 to 8-9 again(maybe permanently), they could run the All Night show from 10 pm eastern to 10 am eastern. I think it would be awesome to see them just dive into the vaults for a night and pull out some great stuff we haven't seen in years.

But I don't know who'd be competent enough to host. Maybe they could put Jim Cornette on with someone from WWF's Vanilla Announcer Brigade.

Lord knows we all would, but this is the WWF we're dealing with here. They'd probably just fuck it up like they did with From The Vault, clipping every fucking match down even though the show was 2 hours long. Boy, we wouldn't want to miss showing those Smackdown highlights from TWO FUCKING DAYS ago, would we? -Jim

It would be pretty awesome if they did a show like that, like the old WCW All-Nighters, but they won't because it's something that the fans want, and the WWE doesn't care what the fans want.

It would be awesome, but only if they didn't clip matches and if they actually showed good stuff instead of three hours of Terri in a thong followed by The Best of Billy Gunn.

I'd watch an all-night thing once in a while, but I think 7 hours of WWE a week is more than enough.

Their tape library is pretty awesome..they got WCW all the way back to 1989. Give us a War Games and World War 3 marathon. They should hype it, first of all...

nostalgia = RATINGS!....if they do it right.

I didn't mean a weekly thing, that's insane. I was thinking they could do this annually.

I would go for it being annually, or bi-annually.

If WWE were really serious about showing classic matches, they should make a 24-hour wrestling channel. If it works for golf and horse racing, it would easily work for wrestling.

Why do it for free when you can put compilations on tape/DVD and slap a $20 price tag on it?

You won't see a "WWE All Nighter" because Vince is a money grubbing bastard.

this is why vince would probably show clips of great matches, stuck in with some interviews & video packages if he were to do an all-nighter.
