Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted June 30, 2002 Sometimes I miss having the option of watching WCW when there was nothing else good on, and getting a larger span of wrestling instead of just the same old WWF. I didn't really follow WCW in it's last year or it's first years up to 1997, but it was a nice change of pace. What do you think?
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted June 30, 2002 Nor did I follow WCW through the years 1998-2001, but I used to flip over to see Booker T, Bret Hart, Sting, and DDP just to occasionally change my view a bit to a different style of wrestling (not totally different). It was nice having competition because then the WWF would up the antics and try to improve their product (which they did). I started watching WCW again the night where Ultimate Warrior made his (fourth!) return. I think that was the last time WCW would win the Monday Night ratings..... Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted June 30, 2002 Irronically the first time I ever saw WCW was when Hogan beat Luger to regain the belt, I was still a mark and seeing Hogan and all of them it was like a paralell universe.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted June 30, 2002 I do miss WCW, for all its faults and stupid shit I actually enjoyed it for the most part.
Guest Nezbyte Report post Posted June 30, 2002 wCw was what got me into wrestling, i miss it very much.
Guest papacita Report post Posted June 30, 2002 I stayed loyal to the WWF when they were getting their asses kicked in the ratings war, but there was a time from 93-94 that I was watching WCW more than I was watching WWF. I miss THAT WCW...but as far of the Hoganated stuff...oh no! No way girlfriend!
Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted June 30, 2002 God I miss WCW. It's just a nostalgia thing, and I just can't stand WWF right now. I wish they'd do a "WCW Classics" thing on Saturday nights for people like me. Screw Robot Wars.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted June 30, 2002 I liked WCW more than WWF, so it goes without saying that I miss 'em....
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 30, 2002 I don't really miss WCW, but I miss competition. I've been a loyal WWF fan since 1994, so I 'm not saying I would jump ship to the other promotion. I just want the WWE to feel threatened again. That is when they were at their best.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 1, 2002 I miss seeing (as odd as this sounds) new talent being pushed heavily. WCW, from mid-2000 until its Vinnie Mac buy-out, was pushing newer talent heavily. Nash was there, but for the most part, was only putting over other workers. He put over Booker T clean in 10 minutes, so he gets instant respect for that. Not to mention that I LIKED The Magnificent 7, even if the only good wrestler in it was Mike Sanders. Just the backstage segments were fun. For all how much Buff started to suck HEAVILY in the ring after late 1999 (I actually liked the Buff/Flair feud, however short-lived it was...or was it Buff/Piper?), his backstage skits were gold. Â Plus...JASON JETT AND 3COUNT~!~
Guest Respect The 'Taker Report post Posted July 1, 2002 wCw was what got me into wrestling, i miss it very much. Agreed, same case with me. Â Before we had WWF Raw Is War here in Australia, all i used to watch was WCW Nitro and i used to literally mark out everytime i'd hear the nWo music kick in and Hogan would walk out with Bischoff & The Outsiders. Â WCW may have had its faults, but the history is there and its damn good. Â This has been the Taker Mark
Guest caboose Report post Posted July 1, 2002 I miss WCW simply cos it was an alternative to WWF breaks and crappy matches.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 1, 2002 i really miss wcw and ecw too for that matter. it was great for me to have so many different choices of wrestling shows to watch. a lot of people didn't like the product from the wcw towards the end but i loved it. there was a lot of great underrater matches from that time. cruiserweights especially

Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted July 1, 2002 Who doesn't misses ecw and wcw, now all we have is the wwf, and without competition do drive them, its gotten pretty bad.
Guest Insanityman Report post Posted July 1, 2002 I loved WCW, it got me into wrestling... I stayed up with it to the final show (with the few brief ECW final shows on TNN, etc). Younger talent was pushed and I'm a mark for cruisers so it was ideal. I remember only turning to RAW to see if any WWF divas were on... and then I'd flip right back. Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted July 1, 2002 I was always loyal to wcw through the bad times and the good because they came to my town at least 5 times a year from 84-93. In 93, they just stopped coming. Back in the early 80s, NWA came to anderson or greenville sc every week. Greenville would always sell out for wcw even in its dying days. Turner South used to have WCW Classics on sunday nites but i dont know what the hell happened with that.
Guest welshjerichomark Report post Posted July 2, 2002 i wasn't a huge wcw mark, i was always loyal 2 wwf but i miss tuning into channel 5 (really bad brittish channel) on friday nights to watch the cruiser-weights,after that i would turn over and put top of the pops on. Â btw-my mother hates wrestling more than anyone i have ever met- but one time when i was watching a cruiser-weight match she actually put her book down and sed, 'well cath, this a lot better than that wwf crap you watch' which must prove sumthing- im notsure what tho'
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 2, 2002 my dad was the exact same was welshjerichomark. he harassed me about it until the day i moved out and now he still does whenever he gets a chance. he absolutely hates and refuses to watch any of it.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted July 2, 2002 i miss it, just cause it was wrestling. wrestling is like sex: 2 people covered in baby oil are on top of each other and...wait, no. wrestling is like sex: even when it's bad, it's still nice to have. no matter how crappy wcw was, it was still wrestling & i still enjoyed it.
