Best seats you've ever had

Guest AM The Kid

My best seats were 7 rows back from the ring, second seat from the ramp at the Calgary Smackdown in May. They were sooo awesome and worth the 75 bucks. What about all of you guys?

1. Front Row for IYH: Revenge of the Taker-- It was the Austin/Bret rematch from WM XIII, and this ppv was here in Rochester. I went with my uncle and my cousin to see it because I was a huge Austin mark (and they were Bret marks). It was awesome because I remember Bret Hart coming out and I flicked him off saying "Austin Rules", and he gave me this dirty ass look.

2. Wrestlemania X8 (Section E right above ringside 1st Row)-- WM X8 wasn't exactly the best of WM's in terms of product, but it did have amazing crowd heat in the Skydome, especially for Rock/Hogan. The seats were rumbling every time the crowd popped for that match.

Third row seats at the old Boston Garden for a house show in 1990, the seats probably cost $20. The ME was Warrior/Jake Roberts vs Akeem/Andre. Warrior ripped the turnbuckle right off the ring post after the match, most likely gimmicked. Some dip shit kis jumped the rail and tried to pose for a picture on teh ring apron and was tackled to the floor and arrested.

Best seats ever were second row ringside right next to the dressing room. This was a dec. 1987 show at Madison Square Garden with the main event of the Honky Tonk Man vs. Randy Savage for the IC title with Jimmy Hart in a cage above the ring. I paid 18 bucks for the ticket. Last night I went to the Garden for a show and paid FIFTY bucks to sit half way up the arena. How times have changed.

I would have to say th best seats I ever had were the free ones I received through my cable company to go to Halloween Havoc '94. They were cheap, but darn good seats, which allowed me a great view of the action. I actually bought some more expensive ones the next year, but, alas, my view was obstructed by morons most of the time, but, at least I was able to see an awesome Eddy match in person.

I've only been to 3 shows (2 WWF, 1 WCW) but my best was being in the fourth row ringside at the November 25 2001 House show at Teco Arena in Ft Myers. It wasn't the "A" house show, but I did get to see Edge vs. Christian and CHRIS JERICHO~! (right after he had turned heel) It was awesome because I could just run up to the guardrail and take pictures, I have close up ones of Christian and D-Von, and some of Jericho (people were rioting at the end of the show, it was great.)

The best I ever had were 4th row ringside in Worcester, day after KOTR 2000. It was the night Michaels made Foley commisioner.

I usually always wind up with pretty good seats, as I get comps thru work.

2nd row, guilty as charged 2001 ( holding the chris shepard is gay) sign. 1st row to massacre on 34th st, numerous 2nd rows at ecw house shows.

Front row seats to the NWA Great American Bash in San Francisco back in 87. This was back when GAB was a tour, so this was not a ppv show. Road Warrior Animal fell into the crowd right onto my friend and I.

I had front row for wcw almost everytime they came for about 15-20 shows. Now my 6 wwf shows that ive been to, the best seats have been front row of our lowest deck right in front of the ring. I was eyelevel with jeff hardy when he was on the turnbuckle. kickass seats.

As a follow up to old schoolwrestling, in 88, theone man gang fell in front of me at my first wwf show when i was 3 yrs old. We had front row seats and he fell over the rail right in front of me and his legs hit my uncle. That was cool.

i was ramp ringside for the Nitro with Luger-Hogan (non-title) and Malenko-Jarret US Title.

you can see me and my friend throwing worked punches to Cicople when he was thrown into the crowd.

Same type of seats for KOTR 97..visible again when Shawn tears down a sign some kid was holding up that read "shawn michaels is a BUTT pirate" while i dont agree with the sign itself, Michaels getting so pissed off about it was hilarious.

ive been ringside to tons of ECW house shows, but that was easy to do in those days..

I was totally surprised when i went to my first ECW show that wasnt at the ecw arena(i only went to 2 shows at the arena) at the tabernacle in atlanta(its an old church...great for concerts) and it was packed. They came closer to me once and it was pretty full too.

My Uncle took me to an AWA TV taping back in the mid 80's and had 6th row tickets. I've had 10th and 12th row tickets for Smackdown and Nitro respectivly. I had ringside for an indie show with King Kong Bundy headlining. Don't remember the name of the indie but only about 250 in attendence at a county fair show.

Anywhere at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, MA (the one where DX came out in Santa thongs). There literally is not a bad seat in the house because the place is so damn small. You feel like you're right there no matter where you sit. -Jim

I usually get good seats for House Shows. Closest I've been is 10th row at a house show in January 99.

Last show I went to in November were damn good too, close enough to the front ringside, but on a riser so we could still see when the people in front were standing.

ECW 9/26/99 Flint, Michigan...front row center...I am marking out for Corino big time and he calls me a "retard" over the mic. I poped!

I was 7th row on the asile for ECW's first ever TNN taping (Toledo) ...although they opted not to use the show...Balls and Spike won the tag titles, Spike went through two fire tables.

ECW show in Detroit in 99...3rd row...Buh Buh puts Balls through a fire table...and I get this sweet pick of Buh Buh giving Balls an elbow smash (they were brawling in the crowd), Buh Buh shoved me after I took it...I poped!

ECW show in Battle Creek, RVD no showed his home town...fun show anyway, main event was a very bloody Credible/Rhino vs New Jack/Corino... They went out of business 3 months later:(

ECW tv taping in Toledo, OH...2nd row on the asile...Tony Mamaluke takes his sick gaurdrail bump, very sick. I got some pretty good pics that night.

I've never had good seats at WWF or WCW...I miss ECW, those shows were the best.

Off topic comment:

The most depressing thing about ECW folding is that I live in Philly AND NEVER WENT TO A DAMN SHOW!!!!!!

Closet I came was House Party 96, but the guy getting me tickets canceled at the last minute.

I'm gonna go cry now...K?

my only real wrestler adventure was in vancouver at a raw. it was the one that kid rock performed at and joe c. helped too cool win the tag titles. i was sitting exactly opposite from the ramp and my seats were about equal with the ramp in distance from the ring and height.

At a Raw I went to in 98, I had nosebleed seats and somehow convinced the event staff to let us get closer. Wasn't too hard.

"Papacita: Hey Mr. Guard, can we sit in those empty seats down there?

Dick Van Dyke Look alike Security Guard: Duh...I'm sorry kids, I can't do that.

Papacita: Please?

Guard: Sure. Go ahead!"

2nd row for a Smackdown in Philly in November of 1999. The main event was Austin/Rocky/Kane/Shane vs. DX. It was an elimination match which resulted in (of course) HHH being the sole survivor. I had sixth row seats for the April 2001 Smackdown in which Jeff Hardy beat HHH for the IC belt.

At the 1999 show, Angle worked a dark match. They had been showing his first promo for a while previous to the show, but he was showered with boring chants during the match.

I went to WWA Eruption and got free seats (like most ppl that night) up the back, then saw the arena was half empty got up and moved down to the rail on the seond level. After watching the show I realised why the arena was half empty..........

did anyone pay for wwa eruption tickets? and if they did then they had to have felt stupid surrounded by people who walked in for free.

I think a few people paid for tix, becuase I kept talking about how crazy you would be if you paid for this rubbish, and the woman next to me got cut. Though I know quite a few people who were front row who didn't pay.

It was pretty bad though you could hear people yelling comments from all around the arena clearly and the most vocal chant of the night was this group with "We Want Sting"
