I'm just wondering what people thought of the whole thing. Did I do a good job holding it together until I met my untimely death at the hands of the Praetorian guard and part of my Cabinet? Guest Incandenza Report post Posted July 1, 2002 Kinetic's post reminds me, Kotzenjunge, that what you said in that PM of offering me a higher position in hindsight was truly appreciated, but I wouldn't have accepted it. The reason I wanted to be a puppet to begin with is that I wanted very little to do with the actual running of the government. Sure, I liked giving out advice every now and then, but I was in no place to plan out wars or running foreign lands. Also, my proudest moment in the Ask the Dictator thread was my response to Kinetic's response to my proposal for the orgy in Italy, but, sadly, the tragic events of 6/19 erased that forever. ::sighs:: We had fun, though. I was trying to create this undercurrent of hatred between you and I, actually, but then you requested that we patch it up so that kind of went out the window. My original idea with the Chelsea thing was create the notion that I go after women who are connected with powerful men. Ehh, she started going out with someone a week or so after I brought her to the board, so I'm not as defensive anymore about it. Probably explains why I stopped caring about posting stuff mentioning my love for certain Australian Pop queens too. Erica's in Italy right now actually, I got an E-mail from her from an Internet Cafe in Florence. I can't stand that she gets to go places and I don't. I'm still debating going up to Washington before the Summer is out, because it'll suck if she's still going out with Kyle or whatever his name is, but it'll be great if she isn't. For the record, I'd want to go up to Washington even if she didn't live in Herndon, 15-20 miles outside of the city. I love that place, and fully intend to move to Arlington one day. SodomusChrist and Intimacy Goblin aren't wrestling fans at all, neither is the First Lady, and they all said how nice and stuff everyone here was. There was a totally authentic shooting star during "Pyramid Song," which is fitting and right on a lot of levels. It was fucking awesome. No real point in mentioning this, actually. My response to your response attempted to help further along the tension between you and I--it included some sideways slagging of Chelsea, for instance--but I gave up on it after the board switch a couple of hours after I posted it. I was about to finally post my belated Abbey Party Convention speech today, which I guess was my major flaw with the State... I just couldn't keep up. I could barely keep up with any topics and the OAOAT (which I'm already starting to fall behind in) without going from "Oh, I'll just take 5 minutes to check on the board" to "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'VE BEEN ON FOR 6 HOURS?! ARGH! I WAS SUPPOSED TO DO THINGS TODAY!"... that's just how I am. But it WAS fun while it lasted... a toast to the ex-State of America!
