I'm trying to figure out what's been causing my computer to run so slowly. It seems like there are alot of programs running in the background, but I don't know what they are. I think one of them is spyware because I'll get popups sometimes. Can anyone help?

taskmgr.exe

IEXPLORE.EXE

EANTHO~1.EXE

PELMICED.EXE

CMESys.exe

rundll32.exe

SVAPLAYER.EXE

qtask.exe

ahqtb.exe

Navapw32.exe

sychost.exe

Navapsvc.exe

delvdr32.exe

explorer.exe

spoolsv.exe

sychost.exe

sychost.exe

sychost.exe

lsass.exe

services.exe

winlogon.exe

csrss.exe

smss.exe

GMT.exe

ctfmon.exe

System

System Idle Process

With all of these running, the CPU usage is peaking in the low 20s.

IEXPLORE - Internet Explorer

rundll32.exe - Part of Windows

sychost.exe - part of windows

winlogon.exe - part of windows

System - windows

System Idle Process - windows

ctfmon.exe - part of windows i believe

services.exe - part of windows

PELMICED.EXE - part of windows i believe

I would most likely looks at

EANTHO~1.EXE

PELMICED.EXE

as being the most likely spyware... just end the process... if nothing happens then you are right but if say windows shutsdown then you know that it was part of windows. Its how you learn :-) Also try searching for the names on Google.com . You can usually learn what something is really easily on that.

get Ad-aware but if you have spryware it will make that program useless

Nav might be Nortan Anti Virus

how many icons are on your system tray?

how much RAM do you have?

have you check your system propertys to find out which program is the HOSS?
