Best match for...

I like Jarrett, but my memory of him only dates back to early 1998 when he was playing the country singer in the WWF. So if he's had better matches when he was younger I wouldn't know. Anyway, In recent years, I'd say it was one of his PPV matches with Booker T. Probably the one at Bash at the Beach (the one where Hogan left).

The Michaels match was indeed a good one, but I hated all of the Roadie bullshit at ringside, plus Jarrett's chickenshit heel tactics.

Definitely the one w/ HBK at IYH 2. I can't remember Jarrett ever having another ***** match besides that one.

- JJ vs. Benoit ladder match at Starrcade 99'

good match between the two, not the best ladder match but a very good one.......

 

and also the Triple Tier Cage match agaisnt David Arquette and DDP......not a classic but it was entertaining......Arquette overshadowed Jarret and DDP with his great technical skills.....

I would attribute that to Keith giving it ***** and throwing everyone in that direction. All the same, I can't remember seeing a Jarett match being in league with that one, so it's still my pick for this topic.

I always considered HBK vs. JJ to be a great match...long before I was into internet wrestling and their opinions.

 

That match ruled.

I'm going to be the outsider and go with Jarrett's match with Brian Christopher in USWA in April of 1993. If I remember correctly, it was a very emotional and intense hair vs. title match.

I wouldn;t call jarret vs hbk *****, but definitly great, but for coolness, nothing beats jarret vs benoit on nitro where benoit and snuke dived off both corned of the cage. That was fucking classic.

Jarrett's ladder matches with Benoit deserve mention, especially since they were thrown together at the last second and didn't get the weeks of planning that go into most ladder matches.

 

Also, JJ had a few damn good matches in Memphis, with the best one in my memory being a Texas deathmatch against Eddie Gilbert.

That match with HBK was one of, if not my all time favorite match so that wins hands down. And I don't give a damn what anybody says, Double J and Roadie were cool as shit back in those days.

jeff jarrett vs. chris benoit from starrcade 99 was a great ladder match too. it is the only one that really stands out in my mind.
