Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted July 1, 2002 I have to go with the Wrestlemania XIII match with Bret Hart, but the Survivor Series match with Hart is a very close second. Survivor Series was a better match, but Wrestlemania blew it away in terms of the story being told.

Guest godthedog Report post Posted July 2, 2002 WHAT?! No *****?! I agree with Austin/Hart at WM getting ****3/4 only because I hated how Austin sold the leg injury for a few minutes, then forgot about it only to start selling it again a little later. That's always bugged me about that match. It was great intense brawling, but not perfect ain't nothing wrong with austin's selling of the leg, he didn't really forget about it. you just have to use your head a little. when austin takes over on offense after bret started working the leg (i believe he took over with a chair shot), you can see him pacing around while bret is trying to recover, clearly trying to walk it off. after that, he doesn't start selling the leg again till bret starts working on it again. this, if you think about it, is much more realistic. if somebody works your leg for a few minutes near the beginning of a match, why would your leg continue to be in pain (so much pain you can't put any weight on it) for the rest of the damn match, unless you tore something? hate to be cliche, but the submission match was probably austin's best ever. runners-up include benoit-jericho/austin-trips from raw (for the drama & the biggest markout moment of my adult life), and austin/angle from summerslam.
