Guest Michael Joel Benoit Report post Posted July 2, 2002 I just got the Wrestlemania box set and I would like to know how long each Wrestlemania is. I know the first Wrestlemania is 2 hours and 7 mintues and I know that 14 and 15 were 2 hours and 45 minutes. Can somebody tell me how long each is?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 2, 2002 Specifically, I coulden't tell you down to the exact amount of time but most were 3 hours and a couple were 4 hours.
Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted July 2, 2002 I dont know exact times, either. But I do know what 2000, X7, and X8 were all four Pay-Per-View hours... which probably means that they ran between 3:15 and 3:45... and I know that Wrestlemania IV was also in the 4:00 neighborhood because of the big tournament. Guest DEEP THOUGHT Report post Posted July 2, 2002 Almost all of them are around three hours except the following.. IV: Just under 4 hours V: About three and a half hours VI: About three and a half hours VII: Just over three and a half hours Just look at how much tape is on each left reel when you take the cassette out of the box for the first time. It's not too difficult to gauge how long each tape is.
Guest Frankie Williams Report post Posted July 2, 2002 You also gotta keep in mind that the early WM videos were edited down big time by Coliseum Video. I have the first 2 WM's on video and they are originals not CV copies. They both last very close to 3 hours.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 2, 2002 X-7 lasted a full 4 hrs..it ended at like 11:55.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 2, 2002 I believe WM2000 had the latest ending time at 12:30. (Only time I remember a PPV going past midnight.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 2, 2002 Yea I remember that one just kept going and going
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 2, 2002 that was because of the all day wrestlemania package that year. didn't jr and the king do like a 30 minute postgame show with interviews too?

Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 There is no way WM 2 is over 2 hours. I have the original Coliseum version and it runs 2 hours.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 WrestleMania 2 has A TON of extra stuff not in the Coliseum Video Version. Dare I say an hour more. - Ray Charles sings "America the Beautiful" - Entrances for wrestlers - Hilarious post-match interview with Roddy Piper - Other interviews w/ Hulk Hogan, King Kong Bundy, Jimbo Covert, Iron SheikRandy Savage, ect. Seems similar to DVD extras.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 that must be the copy that i have then. sweet, and that piper interview rules.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted July 3, 2002 - Ray Charles sings "America the Beautiful" - Entrances for wrestlers - Hilarious post-match interview with Roddy Piper - Other interviews w/ Hulk Hogan, King Kong Bundy, Jimbo Covert, Iron SheikRandy Savage, ect. All of this is in 1999 box set version. Wrestlemania IV is the only one that has a great deal of interviews and stuff clipped from it (Steamboat, anything with Craig DeGeorge, etc.). Wrestlemania I is the shortest. Seems about two hours to me (w/ entrances & interviews), but it could be a little bit longer than that.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted July 3, 2002 WM 4 coliseum video had interviews with Honky Tonk Man (post IC title match), 2 demoltion, steamboat, dibiase, robin leatch starting the tournament, and a FULL opening before the jackpot logo, all clipped on the re-release. Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 WM VII re-release clips the Piper-Morton Downey Jr. segment and they still ADVERTISE IT ON THE BOX!!! That pisses me off.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted July 3, 2002 you mean WM V re-release and that was 1 of trhe 3 or 4 things advertised on the back. Those bastards at WWF Home Video!
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Yeah, WM V. See that, I don't even know what Mania it's from because IT ISN'T ON MY TAPE!
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 i fucking hate the clip job on the wrestlemania 4 wwf video release. they completely cut ricky steamboat's interview with his wife and kid, so it give little explaination as to why he has his child in the ring with him. did the wwf know steamboat was on his way back to the nwa at that point? jobbing to greg valentine was kind of shitty to watch, especially since the wwf could have given us savage/steamboat 2 with the heavyweight title looming this time. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 3, 2002 The legacy version of WMV that I watched had the Piper's Pit thing.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 The legacy version of WMV that I watched had the Piper's Pit thing. I heard that are two versions of it. Maybe yours is newer or something.
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Report post Posted July 3, 2002 So, the WWF re-released the Wrestlemania's before the Legacy box set version in 1999?
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 i thought the wwf released a box set before wrestlemania 14 came out that was 1-13. then after 14 they included it in the set and I think they have just been adding onto the set and jakking up the price as the years pass.
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Report post Posted July 3, 2002 I remember them releasing a box set in 1997 for Wrestlemania's 1-12 but that's it.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 believe me, they were pimped on wwfshopzone for the longest time. i'm beginning to think thay maybe they stopped after wrestlemania 15 though.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 I have the WrestleMania: The Collection 1985-1997 Anywhoo, the original ppv version of WrestleMania 4 doesn't have DeGeorge, Heenan skit, or Dragon interview in it whatsoever. All that were Coliseum Exclusives. So they weren't necessarily clipped out, it's just that Coliseum added them in. Hope this helps.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 i gotcha now. so all of the coliseum video exclusives that jesse and gorilla always mention were cut once coliseum stopped producing video tapes for the wwf.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted July 3, 2002 no wonder Craig Degeorge isnt anywhere on the released WM tapes in 1999. At WM 4 was I the only one cracking up to his sore throat. (GTV reveals Degeorge & Patterson...<beeeeeeeeeeeep>)
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 4, 2002 i thought he always had a pretty raspy voice. was he really sick at wm4?
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted July 4, 2002 his voice was totally shot that night. I had to blast my TV to hear him whisper.
