Guest Black Tiger Posted July 2, 2002 Report Posted July 2, 2002 Does anyone know of a NJ Commerical Release with the 6/25/00 card on it, specificly the IWGP Jr Tag Title match between Shinjiro Ohtani/Tatsuhito Takaiwa vs Minoru Tanaka/Koji Kanemoto.

Spiffy match. Only aired on tv as far as I know. Early July I think, same show with the Takaiwa/Ohtani BoSJ finals (not so spiffy).

I thought it quite a bit better, but of course it still had it's share of listless machismo with Kanemoto and Takaiwa in the same ring. The '99 match was like a Jr. heavy version of Steiners vs. Hase/Sasaki without a Hase to reign it all in. 6/00 was more like an M-Pro '96 aping with high tech NJ Jr. moves, a lot more fun and a hot Korukuen crowd. Ohtani/Takaiwa seemed to be a lot better rudo team by that point. Really fun sprint. I think the Liger/Makabe vs. Kanemoto/Tanaka match a couple months later smokes them both though. One of the few NJ Jr. gems of 2000.
