In another "List" thread by The Superstar, list the times you just got pissed off at wrestling (hence, ANTI-markout)

 

-When HHH lost the WWF Title to Vince McMahon

 

-When Foley was eliminated at Wrestlemania 2000 (I was a huge HHH mark, but I really wanted to see Mick win the belt).

 

-When Angle was screwed out of the WCW Title against Booker T by Shane, Nick Patrick, WCW, and everyone's mom. This was before Austin was in the Alliance.

 

-When Jericho "won" the WWF title in April 2000 (Hey I liked Jericho, but I, of course, was a huge HHH mark)

 

-When Austin won the WWF Title at Wrestlemania 15 (I wasn't a smark yet, but I was trying to be "cool" by liking the heel.)

 

-When Triple H turned on X-Pac at Wrestlemania 15 (see above, but I was all exstatic when DX was reformed, and just minutes later HHH turns heel)

Argh, I remember that too. When Lesnar set T up for the F5 I was like "Aw shit, LESNAR I FUCKING HATE YOU."

 

I think I was just in the heat of the moment, because I love the guy anyway.

When Mark Henry nailed D-Lo with the guitar against Jarrett. I was pissed.

 

When McMahon helped Triple H beat Rocky at WM2000. At first I was silent, then I marked slightly, then I just got plain angry.

 

When Hebner reversed the decision in the phantom title switch between Jericho and Triple H.

 

When dX reformed in late 1999.

Damn X-Pac!

 

When Austin completely destroyed the Alliance on THAT episode of RAW.

Crock of shit. Way to bury the whole angle.

Keep in mind I'm a HUGE Bret Hart and Rock mark:

 

- Bret losing the WWF title to Yokozuna at WM9. I wanted to fucking kill Fuji for throwing the salt and Hebner for ingnoring the salt being thorwn all over him as well. Hey I was a mark.

 

- Bret losing the WWF title to Shawn Michaels. I hated Shawn for years after this and was supremely pissed (as well as friends at school) when I found out. I tried watching the PPV scrambled, but I just couldn't bear it.

 

- Hell, anytime Bret lost a match.

 

- Bret's heel run in 97. I was just devasted when my friends started hating him. But I stayed true damnit! Fuck DX! (Montreal might as well go here too)

 

- Rocky losing at both WM 15 and 16. My friend and I boycotted the WWF after this...for about two weeks, then went crawling back to Vince.

 

- Jericho giving the title back to HHH on the April 2000 RAW.

 

- HHH beating Foley clean TWICE~! in early 2000.

 

- Hogan getting face heat...period!

-The night where Mankind won the World Title, because that was also the night that HBK got his ass beat by the Corporation (fucking HHH)

 

-Foley losing at No Way Out (I was never really much of a Foley fan, but I didn't wanna see the guy retire. I was more disappointed than mad)

 

-Tazz losing to Lawler @ SummerSlam (Ya son of a bitch!)

 

-Tazz losing to Jericho @ Raw in Philly last year (I threw a fit in the crowd after that one)

 

-Chyna and Jericho getting together after feuding for 3 months (not to mention that it made Jericho a face and I always hated face Jericho)

 

-Rock beating Booker @ SummerSlam

 

-Albert beating Kane for the I-C Title

 

-Michaels beating Jannetty @ rumble 93

 

-Hogan signing with WCW in 94 (Everything was going so well...WHY?!)

 

-Jeff beating HHH for the I-C Title...(ok, I wasn't really mad, wasn't really happy, but I was in the crowd that night and everybody around me was going crazy as I sat there like...DAMN.)

 

-And finally...HHH beating Tazz thanks to Tommy Dreamer's botched interference. I love Tom, but damn it, when I saw his ass fall over the guardrail that night, I just said to myself "Oh no".

-Foley losing at WrestleMania 2000. I really wanted to see him win that last match.

 

-Kane being un-masked by X-Pac (if they go through with it). Kane should lose his mask in a hair-vs.-mask match not through an nWo beat down.

 

-Lesnar beating RVD at King of the Ring. Lesnar is not ready right now. RVD is. Lesnar is young, he has room and time to grow. RVD is more over. RVD should have been KotR, IMO.

 

-When HHH beat Angle at Unforgiven 2000. I thought for sure Steph was going to turn on Hunter and go with Angle leading to a face HHH. Foley was the ref for that match too. They ended up going with the finish that did nothing for all involved.

 

-Al Snow and Mick Foley's tag team title reign not lasting a little longer than it did. I love Foley and Snow's chemistry together. In fact, fuck the tag team run, they should put those two together as announcers.

Hogan winning the undisputed title. Why? Why did this happen?

 

Booker T not winning a ppv match since Invasion. And even then all the focus was on Austin.

When Jericho lost to the Godfather at a Smackdown in November 1999. I was at the show and was a huge Jericho mark at the time. I even had the first Y2J shirt on at the show. I was so pissed that Jericho had to lay down for that no-talent hack.

Some of mine:

 

Mick losing to Triple H...twice. I hated HHHmania at that point, and when he won at Wrestlemania, I just stopped watching the WWF until around summer of that time.

 

Ultimate Warrior beating Hulk Hogan. I was so mad I boycotted the WWF for about two years.

 

Any big angle which led to a rehash of an old angle(e.g. finger poke of doom, Higher Power, etc.)

 

Whenever they teased a Triple H face turn, then turned him heel again. Looking back in hindsight, I wonder what the WWF would be like now if Triple H and Austin had not formed the Two Man Power Trip. I was waiting for a Triple H-Austin program to start, but, instead, they held it off a few months to give us an exciting UT/Kane - Austin/Triple H feud, then Triple H tore out his quad, and it has been all downhill from there.

 

When Hulk Hogan signed with WCW. I loved WCW at this point. They were awesome, until they signed Hogan. By the end of the year, guys like Jim Duggan and Ed Leslie were stinking up the whole show.

 

When the Big Show beat the Rock earning the Wrestlemania title shot. And the point of having Big Show in the main event of Wrestlemania was? He lasted what? A whole five minutes.

 

Test being rapidly forgotten about after the Wedding Angle. I was really hoping it would have made Test's career. Ah well.

5) Vince McMahon getting involved in the Survivor Series 1999 main event.

 

6) Stephanie McMahon single-handedly beating up Triple H and pulling Kurt Angle out of the cage on RAW.

 

7) Hulk Hogan. Everytime I've seen him since he turned babyface. The way the announcers ignore that he can barely walk, the way the fans pretend it's 1986 again, and the way guys like Jericho and Angle have to sell his awful offense.

bret didn't get buried in that match, i'd argue that he came out looking better than before. it was made clear in the match that bret was the superior wrestler, and he was in the crossface chicken wing for like 5 minutes, not passing out and refusing to give up.
