Best PPV Intro. Ever.

My favorite all time PPV intro is definitely Armageddon 2000's, the one with 'The End' and the interspersed WWII footage. What's yours?

The Armageddon opening was cool, but I like the Over the Edge 1998 one a little more. It had the war footage interceded with Austin/McMahon hi-lights and that Brawl For All/XFL theme song playing in the background. That and the woman's voice saying something like "you will conform in Mr. McMahon's uptopia."

I don;t know about intro's but the footage used in free for all for WM XIV showing the clips of austin/hbk and fued highlights was definintly the best video package they EVER put out.

Armageddon definitely rules, i've got the theme on my computer!

But the video package for IYH TAKERS REVENGE always pumps me up because of the music in the background.

Damn i wish i could download that theme!

Yeah, heatwave 98 is a cool show. I think all the wwe ones are ridiculously contrived with crappy nu metallers and sponsors flying at you from all angles. But the one that made me laugh the most was WMX7, with all the african tribesmen watching and shit.

Oh and i almost forgot about Wrestlemania 12, the videos of Shanw and Bret were amazing for me, because it was the match that i was waiting for years!!!!yepeeeeeeeeeee:D

The one that got me most pumped was Summerslam 98, don't ask why, lotsa nostalgia for that show though.

 

The one that pissed me off the most had to be WM X-7 and their playing of My Way 43 times during the night.

The Best I feel was WM17's intro for the Main event to the Sounds of My Way. And after the PPV was over they played the Entire Song My Way showing the highlights of each match.

Wrestlemania 17's was deffinetly great, they made Limp Bizkit listenable.

 

I really like Vengeance 2001 too, that euro-style music in the background with Flair saying "One great company.... ONE great champion."

i always thought wrestlewar 89 had the best ever intro with highlights of the steamboat/flair fued with the final countdown video package. i also like the intro to stranglemania 2 and starcade with hogan/sting.

The Hogan/Sting intro was excellent. I also like the old Wrestlemania intros where Vince is always YELLING through the matches. That made me laugh.

vengeance 2001 - a great setup for the undisputed title match.

 

judgment day 2000 - this one was awesome with all the things that can be done in one hour, setting up the iron man match.

 

judgment day 2002 - it was a rehash of the creepy little girls from two years before but it was still a nice and scary little setup package.

My favorite? Probably Survivor Series 2000 where they were hyping Austin/Rock/HHH by mixing all of their quotes and either No Way Out or Rumble 2000 because of HHH and Mick's.

 

Thats one thing you can usually count on from the WWF. Some good solid production.
