Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Wu Tang Clan haven't heard much from them recently but i did like their older stuff. i like a lot of their members solo works. D-12 their first cd wasn't too bad but it might as well have been called eminem and five other guys because it was pretty well eminem's disk. a few of their songs were pretty good but I think their career's peaked at the same time "purple pills" did. the rest of the ones listed I don't know well enough to comment on. Guest bdolo Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Wu-tang: finnaly starting to get better again. They are what all rap music should be like; orignal and not all about money and bithces Mobb Deep: My favortie rap duo of all time, havoc is by far one of the best producers today, his beats are fucking eerie in a good way, and prodigy is what other rappers shold aspire to be, a lyricist that brings it all the time. St. Lunatics: They would be ok if their lyrics would have some kind of substance to them, some emotion are some hardship, to much pop rap. D-12: I am just sick of hearing eminem all the time so I have'nt really listened to them Outkast: Top 5 all my all time favorites. They keep getting worse since atliens which is starting to get to noticeable. They need less earthtones and more organized noize on their upcoming album. Goodie Mob: I have all their cds and like them but have been getting worse since soul food, so I hope they turn it around on the next joint, if it ever happens LOx: 1st off they are on ruff ryders and are not with puff. I think they are better off all being solo then being a group. Styles by far is my favorite. Not that their cds are garbage but I think things are better for them when they are solo. CNN- The war report is a classic but they do not sound anything like that anymore, when war report was out I fucking marked out for them all the time, but now they don't have the right production with the neptunes ane you know they won't go back to how they used to be so it is kinda dissapointing. Blackstar: I have'nt heard enough Gangstarr: When Premeir produces everything you know the end result is going to be nice. Bone: A group unlike the lox, that needs to stay together, their solo albums have been average, they a lot better off as a group with dj uneek on the beats Jurassic 5: have'nt heard enough Black eye peas: haven't heard enough PMW- I thought they were going to blow up, but have'nt heard enough to make a fair judgement, but might cop[ they album. Crucial conflict: I have always been a flict fan for a long time. Anyone know if they ever going to release a new album? Roots: Black thought he is nice on the mic
Guest mesepher Report post Posted July 4, 2002 I prefer musicians, thanks.
Guest bdolo Report post Posted July 5, 2002 "I PREFER MUSICIANS THANKS" Fuck you bitch. There is a reason why rap music came to be. It is becasue are Mommy and Daddy did'nt go out and by us new guitars and drums. It is hard growing up and not having much so to make any kind of music it has to be done without instruments, and the only music that can be made is rap. Don't be so ignorant, not everyone can be as fortunate as you and all of these other rock stars some people had to struugle to make it.
Guest $leepwalka Report post Posted July 5, 2002 Bone thugs-n-harmony: Bone are the only rap group I listen to nowadays, i'll ocassionaly listen to some of my old favorites though. Bone are definately my favourite group (not band) of all time.
Guest ant_7000 Report post Posted July 5, 2002 I prefer musicians, thanks. Whatever, I bet your favorite Rock band probably steals rap and incorporate into their music. Hell, even rockers have to admit if it wasn't for rap, rock/heavy metal wouldn't exist by now DUDE.
Guest Ripper Report post Posted July 5, 2002 Wu Tang Clan- Great in the beganing and they have been trash for years now. No one wants to admit it, but RZA's beats have been garbage and is bringing the group down. Even though they have sucked recently, thier earlier work still qualifies them amoung the greats of all times. Mobb Deep- Havoc is the man on the production, but I have always found P to be repeditive and basically boring as a rapper St. Lunitics- That dude Murphy Lee got talent, but basically they are a waste of space. D-12- See above Outkast- Great artist. They are different so some people aren't feeling thier newest stuff. I think it is just as good as the old stuff. Dre and Big Boi are two of the better lyrisit in the game period. Goodie Mob- Loved their first 2 albums then they came out with that piece of crap because the first 2 didn't sell. Goes to show how people don't know good music. hopefully they will say screw the sells and go back to the hot shit. LOX- Jada gets all of the press but like Styles said "I'm the ghost of the ship, I provide the fluid". That dude carries(and I believe he actually is writing Jadas stuff) the Lox, and he is one of the most underrated in the game. As for the Lox as a whole, they can have some really good songs...although I perfer all of thier underground, and mixtape stuff more than the mainstream stuff. BTW, the album with bad boy was HOT. We are the Streets was absolute trash...they never should have left Bad Boy. Capone-N-Norega- Nore is one of the most worthless peices of crap to ever "rap" Dude isn't saying anything most of the time and jibberish is just flowing from his mouth. Capone, however, has the talent and is very underrated. Blackstar- HOT!!! VERY VERY VERY underrated. Mos and Taled are a couple of the best lyrisist but get no play because their videos isn't all asses shaking. Gangstarr- Ranks in the greatest of all time. Premeir on the production with Guru rhyming...how can that ever be bad?? Bone Thugs N Harmony- I am a Bone mark, and always will be...although I didn't care that much for their last album or the way that Bizzy(my favorite of the group) raps now, I will buy any and everything they come out with. Nappy Roots- Only heard 2 songs from them, that Aww Naw(which is a pretty cool song) and this other which I liked alot. Need to hear more from them. Jurassic 5- They cool for Mixtapes and freestyling with Sway and Tech ONLY. Black eyed peas- I honestly don't think that I can put into words how much I hate these peices of trash. I won't even try. I DON"T LIKE THEM. Philly Most Wanted- They can be really really good or down right horrible. I like them when they are on. Crucial Conflict-I haven't heard from them in years but I always liked their stuff for some reason. And that little dude Never was hot so they cool The Roots- Another underated group and Black Thought is definately one of the more forgotten lyricist when people talk about the best. Guest ant_7000 Report post Posted July 8, 2002 Wu Tang Clan: RZA production is getting horrible, lyrically they are still good Mobb Deep: Prodigy got some skills, Havoc is underrated as producer St. Lunitics: Waste of space, no skills, Garbage would be better if they had substance. D-12: I like Swift and Proof only they have skills Outkast: I always liked them since 93' I bought every album of theirs (eventhough I lost one and broke one) both are verstile and stay fresh with their sound. GOODIE MOB: Soul Food was classic and Still Standing wasn't that bad everybody brings something to the table LOX: Jada gets the attention, but I think Styles P. is better lyricist and range of topics than Jada cuz "The Life" on SoundBombing 3 is hot. CNN: NORE isn't all that to me liked SuperThug, Capone I haven't heard enough of him since he locked up and all BlackStarr: Haven't heard enough of them but I do like Mos Def and I think Kweli might be a breakout rapper Gangstarr: Classic stuff, Guru rhymes and Premier production always hot Bone Thugs: I liked the underground album Faces of Death, Creepin on the come up, and E.1999 Enternal. I hope with Unique back doing production the next Bone album is going to be hot. Krayzie and Bizzy are my favs. Nappy Roots: I heard 2 songs Aww Naw and Po Folks and I liked them, I might by the album Jurassic 5: Haven't heard enough of them to comment Philly Most Wanted: I liked "On the Border" but everything else is I heard from them is weak Black Eyed Peas: Blame Eazy-E for finding them, what was he thinking? I only like "Weekends" Crucial Conflict: Im glad a Chicago rap group that made it, I liked their unique stuff and hopefully they will come out with a new album. The ROOTS: Good shit right here, but now they are getting the backing that they deserve, and I predict that Live Just RAP bands will be the next big thing.
