Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Seeing Hogan for the first time live was amazing. I say this, and I'm serious....the pop and heat for the match was on Wrestlemania 18/Canadian Stampede level. I mean, Hogan would look at the crowd and the whole place would go nuts. Edge got huge face heat and Billy & Chuck were booed out of the building. It sucks it wasn't live so you could actually hear this heat, but hopefully it projects the same way tommorow night. You have probably read everything that happened, so I won't bother with the results. It's weird...everyone bashes Hogan on the net, but you can't help cheering last night. I swear to god every fucking person stood up for the entrances and the finish. It was nuts.

The problem with the Hogan nostalgia tour is that he's getting pops coming and going, but during the matches its the same old shit.

But, casual fans could care less about "workrate," and they're the ones contributing the most money these days.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Oldschool, you are wrong. They cheered every move Hogan did. I know he's no Benoit, but you still had to cheer last night. Hell, Edge did most of the work in the ring. That's what I like about the team. Hogan can work the crowd and Edge can do the wrestling.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Edge doing all the work for the team (shudder) I was better when it was Edge and Christian, because they basically went fifty/fifty, and Ege's flaws weren't pronoucned. But if Edge is doing like 75 %, look out.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Hogan can work the crowd and Edge can do the wrestling. That would make him a manager. Not a tag team partner.
Guest John Dub Report post Posted July 3, 2002 I was there too, and I think we were with Hogan the whole time. Whenever Hogan was on the apron, the entire crowd chanted "We want Hogan" and whenever he landed a punch, the place went "Hoo" like when Scotty does the weird arm motions to set up the chop after the worm. He was over the whole time, plus he came out to Real American. My only problem was Rikishi solving the Canada problem, and the crowd chanting USA...I tried to start a Samoa chant, but nothing doing. Not exactly, see, when the person actually gets involved in every match in a sactioned way - it stops having a managerial role, hence, partner.
