Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted July 3, 2002 With 2 weeks worth of wrestling to go until their match at Vengence, do you think any stipulations will added, and how do you think it will affect the outcome? Personally, I hope they put the title shot on the line, which leads to RVD going over. If the WWE just plans on this being a straight up grudge match with no stipulations of any sort, then I think they have to have Brock go over, since he will be going into his title shot the following PPV. Thoughts?

Guest godthedog Report post Posted July 4, 2002 i've been preaching since the KOR stipulation was made that either rvd would win it, or brock would win & rvd would win it from him at vengeance. the latter seemed like the better solution to me, because both guys would get the rub: brock would be king, and rvd would get a title shot. the other way around, only rvd would get both. so far, looks like wwF is thinking it through the same way i thought it through. i'm pretty sure that the stipulation will be added, if only for the fact that a LOT less people would pay to see brock in the main event than rvd (the only possibly way brock could've worked in the main event is if he was still undefeated going into summerslam, & they ruined that on raw). everything seems to point to rvd winning the title shot. otherwise, brock becomes IC champion. it would be incredibly stupid to have brock going into the match as IC chamption (if they made it title-for-title, everybody would know he wins; if they made it survivor series 92-style, everybody would know he loses), and it would be equally stupid to make brock lose the title between vengeance and summerslam. Guest Downhome Report post Posted July 4, 2002 If we're lucky, the looser will be given the go to go over Kurt Angle at Summerslam. Anyhow, in all seriousness... ...I agree, IC Title Vs. Title Shot!
Guest TheMikeSC Report post Posted July 4, 2002 I see the title shot being on the line and Heyman accidentally costing Lesnar the match via DQ. Brock isn't a good heel thus far and as a face, might be allowed to unleash the swank stuff he can allegedly do. -=Mike ...His finisher isn't very good, let's be honest

Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted July 4, 2002 As I've said before. Two fall match. First fall for the IC title, second for the SS title shot. -Shiro
Guest LesnarLunatic Report post Posted July 4, 2002 I don't want to put up the title shot. It'd stay more meaningful if Brock keeps the title shot. But, maybe it can be a screwjob-a-riffic Brock title win, followed by the title getting vacated, and Brock going out of the running for it without being pinned. Then a Face Undertaker or the Rock can give Lesnar his first loss at Summerslam.
Guest Brian Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Vacating the title is far worse than having Undertaker or HHH with it. It's the one thing that instills very little faith in the fans in down times.

I was totally against the rvd main event push and still am, but they have comprimised their position by showing brocks huge flaws so I think it;s the way to go now, because it;s the only choice. A good way to do it would be no dq, rvd bumps like a madman, steamboat style, heyman interferance and somehow rvd comes out on top with some last ditch effort, like van daminator before lesnar was gonna hit him with a chair. I still can;t see rvd as champ but, since they forced it, and do it along the lines which I stated, it will make for a fun match to watch. --Rob
