Guest DKnez Report post Posted July 3, 2002 I'm about to buy two wrestling DVD'S. What should I get. I already have: Mick Foley Hard Knocks & Cheap Pops WM 2000 Summerslam 01 ECW Deep Impact ECW Anarchy Rulz RR 01 KOTR 01 ECW Barely Legal
Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 3, 2002 ECW Heat Wave 98 WM
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted July 3, 2002 DON'T get WM X-8, the extras and shots of Stacy's ass being covered in plaster don't make up for how mediocre the card is. I'd agree with getting 17 though.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 3, 2002 only get WM18 if you worship Hogan Hogan vs Warrior Hogan vs Rock and if its still out there, an extra DVD of the History of Wrestlemania featuring Hogan, it is plastic wrapped on the back of the DVD
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted July 3, 2002 and if its still out there, an extra DVD of the History of Wrestlemania featuring Hogan, it is plastic wrapped on the back of the DVD That DVD sucks, it's all Hogan, all the time. They don't even show one measly second of Savage Steamboat from III. I also would have thought there would be a recap of WM 2000, since it was 2 years ago, instead of the promo for the Fatal 4 Way. Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 i like both ecw extreme evolution, and path of destruction. if you are a big ecw mark i would get those for sure. much better disk than deep impact is.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 3, 2002 I only suggest WM18 for Hogan marks but for $19.95 the 3 DVD set is decent, considering the PPV cost $35 from your local cable company. All of the extras and the discount try to cover up the lack luster show, as any Hogan Hater would point out. All ECW DVDs are ok for something different try the FMW or Pride DVDs
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 what are the extras on wrestlemania 18 if anyone knows?

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 3, 2002 The X-8 DVD is pretty sweet- I enjoyed the show, the extras are cool, Stacey's ass, Warrior v. Hulk in DVD format, Stacey's ass and well Stacey's ass.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 i didn't know that warrior/hogan was included on the disk too. that is pretty sweet IMO.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Yeah, Hogan-Warrior is pretty good (I had never seen the full match before) and he other extras are nice, but I found myself skipping over a good amount of matches (4 Corner Tag, Flair-UT, 1/2 of the main). Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Pretty much every place with wrestling DVDs has Pride DVDs.
Guest JohnSkins Report post Posted July 4, 2002 does anyone know what extra matches are on the SCSA "What?" DVD? I think the WW(F)E is doing a good thing by putting choice matches on their newest DVD's. Is the HHH DVD worth getting content wise? I might just pick it up on the bouns matches alone. Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 4, 2002 I think both have Steamboat matches that nearly everyone here will endorse as ************************************************************
Guest DKnez Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Does anybody know if the Before They Were Stars DVD(not the WWE one) is at Media Play or Bestbuy.
Guest RobJohnstone Report post Posted July 4, 2002 why does everyone endorse heatwave 98? does it have an insane amount of special features? I remember one good match by awesome/tanaka, and their fmw work and later ecw work was better. The rvd/sabu/busa/jinsei match was a spotty nightmare, taz vs bigalow was not as good as ld 98, lynn/credible was not as good as their later work, candido/storm was so so. Those are just my opinions, their are at least 20 other wrestling dvd's i;d rather have. --Rob
Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 4, 2002 to be fair I enjoy the spotty style even though there was clear communication problems and blown spots in the RVD&Sabu vs Hayabusa & Jinsei match.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted July 5, 2002 IMO, I'd have to say the Taz/BBB Heatwave match was better then the LD match. Both featured more then their fair share of mindless crowd brawling, but I feel the Heatwave match was superior, simply because they didn't have to worry about going through the mat too early. Hell, I think the only reason that the Taz/BBB LD match was on the Deep Impact disk is for the through-the-ring bump. Same way that the Eliminators/Gordy & Dr. Death is on the EE disk is for Saturn's elbow off the scaffold. That is one of my complains about the ECW comp. videos. There is always one match that is on the tape, simply for one moment. And where the hell is the RVD & Sabu/Eliminators Ladder & Table matches?
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted July 5, 2002 That is one of my complains about the ECW comp. videos. There is always one match that is on the tape, simply for one moment. But isn't that rather fitting for ECW? I'm no ECW expert and won't claim to be, but weren't a lot of their matches set up specifically for one moment to happen? Where else would they put the one moment?
Guest C-Bacon Report post Posted July 5, 2002 fricken' ECW dvd's in Canada (if im lucky to find them)cost $40+! and im still looking for the nwo back in black. anyone know a good place to find ECW dvd's online?

Where else would they put the one moment? going to alot of shows and owning at one time like 60% of everything they ever put out ( the 40% was house shows ) I would tend to agree with you. But some of those moments were great and well worth a shitty match --Rob
