Guest swan Report post Posted July 3, 2002 I have been a fan of fnm ever since I heard ‘We Care A Lot” on a pirate radio station around 88/89. Of course “The Real Thing” broke them, which not only did the new sound help them but the addition of music mastermind Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle anyone?) Anyways while “the Real Thing” was a great album I believe the follow up, “Angel Dust” is not only fnm finest work but one of the most underrated rock albums of the 90’s and possibly of all time. I should say though the entire catalog of FNM is awesome and I actually listen to “King For…” and “Album of the..” on a regular basis at work. Anyone care to comment on the band, members, or there awesome work?
Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 I haved loved FMN for a while now. I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't Epic that got me into them, but... it was. The fact of the matter is, Mike Patton is near the realm of godliness. Angeldust is probably my favorite album with Midlife Crisis being my favorite song. Mr Bungle is just as good... and Fantomas is good for a laugh (in a good sense). I also laugh whenever I hear the stories about Bungle and the Chili Peppers. Guest swan Report post Posted July 3, 2002 And when you have these "nu-metal" masked bands fighting over who wore masks first, point them to Mr.Bungle who did it 13-14 years ago.
Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 At the day camp I work at, two of the counselors were trying to stump each other with music questions. They came up to me for a question, so I asked what do Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Fantomas have in common and I blanked both of them. It kinda pissed me off. I even told them FNM is credited for innovating Nu-metal. I always spread the good word of Mike Patton whenever I can.
Guest caboose Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Faith No More truly ROCK~! Epic is my favourite FNM traack, and it would proably be my entrance music if I was a wrestler.
Guest swan Report post Posted July 3, 2002 I even told them FNM is credited for innovating Nu-metal. Back then it was called "alternative".
Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 Now that I'm remembering, the quote from my sig is from "Falling to Pieces", my second favorite FNM song. I only remembered this because the song is playing right now.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 3, 2002 FNM is truly one of the greatest bands of all time, and Mike Patton is truly one of the best (behind Mercury and Dickinson IMO) of all time, and actually Ashes to Ashes and a live version of War Pigs (go download it ASAP) got me into them, and then of course Epic. Isn't Mike Patton in a band called Tomahawk...I think...
Guest TUS_02 Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Yeah, he's put out some stuff with Tomahawk, and I think he wants to put out one more album with Fantomas before going back to Bungle. I think.

What bands are you talking about? Every band now a days (ok, im talking about Slipknot and Mushroomhead) said others did it first but they decided it was "cool," it's the fucking MEDIA that says assinine shit like that.
