Guest HollyandTestMark Report post Posted July 4, 2002 The way I figure, no matter which route the WWE takes, HHH's involvement in the nWo will take the spotlight away from Booker T. If HHH fights the nWo, Booker T. will be forgotten. If HHH does join, Book goes squasheroonie. The way I see it, the last function of the nWo is to put over Booker T. For the current angle to work, after surviving numerous nWo beatdowns, Book has to utterly destroy the Big Show and X-Pac, and beat Nash clean, (punking out of HBK is optional, but would be a benefit.) If HHH gets involved heavily, the angle is DEAD, and the WWE would ruin yet another potential breakout star. See, I can be serious too, although TEST~! and HARDCORE HOLLY~! STILL RULE! Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Shit. Who had Booker T as "Next" on HHH's shitlist?
Guest LesnarLunatic Report post Posted July 4, 2002 If Booker T kills the nWo, will they reform with HHH and call themselves "Degeneration X"?
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Good. Booker T just needs to get a clean blowoff pin on one of the nWo members(which won't happen) and then move on to a feud with Benoit. Benoit isn't doing anything right now anyway. I thought it would be Benoit vs Flair at the next ppv, but I guess they just totally forgot that feud.
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted July 4, 2002 The whole problem with attempting to put Book over using the nwo is that the 2 stars of the group are non performers.(although Nash is due back anytime now) He can't get his heat back from HBK's superkick and if he goes over Pac and Show, people will just think big deal. Plus we have a bit of a brand split problem. HHH is SD property and nwo is Raw property. Now if they do away with the split, then I'm all for HHH joining. It at least gets him back to heel. Guest Prince Paul Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Booker will end up buried after all this. He will not go over the nWo and thusly a proper blowoff will not occur. Gotta love that Clique!
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Nice to see a healthy dose of Kliq-paranoia pesimism already taking it's usual shit on an otherwise valid thread. They can go two ways with the Hunter angle: A) He can be the guy they are trying to force into the group, but refuses to join. It worked for DDP, it can work for Trips. He has the history with three of the four current members, and other than the brand split, there's nothing stopping them from feuding. I wouldn't be suprised if Trips got the world title just to pursue this feud. B) Have him actually join (probably in a "swerve") and re-build him as a heel. Maybe they can work in some phony situation where the nWo, being property of Raw, automatically gets anyone from the Smackdown! roster put on the Raw roster upon joining the group. I could see it happening, and it's a good thing for Trips, too, since he's probably the most borring babyface since...well...Kurt Angle, I guess.
Guest TheSmarkzone Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Yeah, but since the nWo was a "package deal" when they were drafted as a group, that would mean if HHH joins the nWo, he is a RAW superstar by default. Also, since Vince now has 100% control, he can move guys around as he sees fit.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Not like it matters anyways, since Benoit was drafted as a Smackdown! star, and is wrestling on RAW, whereas the excuse before was that since he was 'inactive' he was allowed to be on any show he wanted. Well, fuck.

It would be easier to say "Since HHH joined the nWo, he's required to join Raw" then come up with some bullshit character motivation for Vince wanting him to be on Raw, which obviously wouldn't make sense. Guest Blue Bacchus Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Maybe they are gonna start an nWo Team on the Smackdown! show.
Guest M Nyland Report post Posted July 4, 2002 RAW nWo - Big Show, Xpac, HBK, and Nash Smackdown nWo - Triple H, Albert, and Tajiri!
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted July 4, 2002 Maybe they are gonna start an nWo Team on the Smackdown! show. Bad idea. Then you get the "A Team, B Team" syndrome that was the nail in the coffin for WCW's nWo, so to speak. And with how weak the nWo in the WWF is, I doubt they need that killing any chance is has of earning money. Lets hope they have Trips resist the group for a while and then joins them finally, to fight a common enemy, like, say, the Rock. Then he can be a heel (which he is much better at) and maybe do some good in the world.
