Guest Luke Argyle Report post Posted February 18, 2002 Giant Singh & Hiro Saito vs. Rob Rage & El Samurai -About as bad as one would expect. It was a showcase squash for Singh. That's all I can say. Singh is terrifying. It looks like aliens are living inside his chest and will burst through his hollowed out torso when he flexes. I am afraid. Masayuki Naruse, Masahito Kakihara & Gran Naniwa vs. Katsuyori Shibata, Wataru Inoue & Katsushi Takemura -Cool, cool match. Kakihara was fired up and looked good. Naniwa was good, too. The young lions team was excellent with the exception of Takemura. This was my first look at him and I was not impresed. However, Inoue and Shibata rock. I really must see the match Inoue had with Liger and the NOAH tag from yesterday. Scott Norton, Giant Silva & Super J vs. Osamu Nishimura, Yutaka Yoshie & Dolgorsuren Serjbudee -This was doodoo. Nishimura could be doing way better things and actually is now. I'm excited to see his match against Tenzan. Next. Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi vs. Kensuke Sasaki & Dan Devine -This was good. Devine looked really sharp. Better than Kensuke did. Nagata is Nagata and Nakanishi wasn't bad even if he is a complete goofball. Hiroshi Hase & Taiyo Kea vs. Kenzo Suzuki & Hiroshi Tanahashi -A total showcase for Hase, which was a shame because Kea was absolutely awesome when he was in there. He reminds me SO MUCH of Steven Regal. He moves just like him. It's uncanny. This wasn't a squash, but it was an excuse to do all of the signature Hase spots. Fun, but pretty pointless. Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima vs. Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi Very good match. TenKoji is a personal favorite of mine and I am biased, but this match had a lot of things going for it. The end sequence is put together nicely and the crowd loved it. Sweet match. Jushin Thunder Liger, Kendo Ka Shin, Minoru Tanaka & Black Tiger vs. Koji Kanemoto, Jado, Gedo & GOKU-DO This rocked. Everyone worked hard except for GOKU-DO, how wasn't in the match at all, barely. GEDO is so much better than he ever was in FMW and it's a good thing that he left concidering today's news of the bankruptcy. Kanemoto is great and a total dick and you know you love him. Highly enjoyable. Keiji Muto vs. Tatsumi Fujinami Not very good at all. Submissions that lead nowhere and too many moves starting with the word shining that were hit with the acuracy of a blind monkey skeet shooting with an anti-aircraft gun. That's not why we got the PPV. The reason we got to PPV was for... Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima vs. Mike Barton & Jim Steele This match was excellent. The rabid crowd only added to what was just a war between two teams that came to deliver the fucking goods and did so with gusto. Again, I flash my bias, but I LOVED this match and I really think that most people would too despite their opinions of the participants. Luke, wating for that Tenzan vs. Nishimura match... damn.
