This has probably been asked before, but I just feel like starting a conversation.

I marked out for him when he came back the night after Shawn Michaels left and joined DX. I was also a fan of his when he was in WCW.

He kicked tons of ass before his neck problems.

... I also liked the X-Factor Uncle Kracker theme music. :)

Right up until his heel turn in 1999. And for all of you "neck problem" critics, as awesome as he was during his early years, he's still a great, great worker (when he wants to be) even in his debilitated state.

somebody has to mention the European title reign and the WWF title match against the Rock.

Screw this. There are lots way worse than Pac, and he worked a solid KOTR match with RVD on raw a while back. If he is given time he is good, there are many better candidates than Pac to ask, "when have the not sucked" (i.e. Albert)

I have never had anything against X-Pac...

No matter how much people wined and complained and what everyone always said, I actually enjoyed him.

X-Pac did NOT suck...

...the day after Wrestlemania XIV when he returned to the WWF and joined Hunter and Chyna in DeGeneration X. It was a surprise to me, and I was glad to see him back. He got a big pop and it was a classic RAW moment in my opinion.

...in his match against Owen Hart at the 1998 King of the Ring. This was in the midst of the Dx/NOD feud. Those two had a great match and was probably one of the best of the X-Pac era.

...at Summerslam 98, the Hair vs Hair match against Jeff Jarrett. The feud had a good build up and the match was pretty good as well. One of my favorite X-Pac matches for some reason. Don't ask why.

...against Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania XV. Great European Title match. One of Shane's first and best matches. X-Pac worked his ass off and really made Shane look like a good wrestler.

...and of course on RAW in 2000 when he was quoted to say "You're Ass Is Grass!....and I'm Gonna Smoke It!" The line was so infamous, it made it on to his offical t-shirt. Wow...

:D

Which would make him suck even more cause it means that he could turn it up, but he doesn't want to

X-Pac does not suck. He's the fastest man alive! (So says HHH)

well, its funny that everybody agrees that xpac ruled as the lightning/1-2-3 kid up til the neck injury, which he did!. i am sure that the guy who started this was trying to only get a few ppl to defend pac so he could flame them. oh well.

I've hated him ever since 1993, and I didn't know who he was before then.

When he was Lightning Kid having his matches with Jerry Lynn...now that was some good stuff.

I started hating him when they'd put him over Kane and anyone else twice his size every damn week...just got tired of seeing him

X-Pac did NOT Suck.....

On Raw back in, I think, 1994(?) when he wrestled Bret Hart for the title. Great technical match with Pac getting in some nice high flying stuff and Bret taking him to the mat. Awesome match that actually had the crowd believing that he could leave the building as the champ...

Well here's my list

1. His early days as the 1-2-3 kid.....now I didn't see these, but I recall hearing good things about his matches with Bret, with Kliq members, ,with Owen and with Hakushi

2. With Hall and Nash in the Wolfpac breaking JJ Dillon's balls

3. His return the night after Wrestlemania 14, and his entire 1st run with DX

4. His series with D-Lo Brown for the European title

and after that he "degenerated" into a spin kick machine, and that's all he did for a few years

BUT THEN

5. I think his match with Tajiri at a PPV a while back was FRIGGIN GREAT

I personally never liked X-Pac. I just never really gave a shit about him. As 1-2-3 he was a loser (I was 11-12 so losers looked like losers) in the NWO he was the little buddy so he was still a loser in DX he was the little buddy still the loser now he just acts like a grown man trying to be a punk kid and it is just really sad.

X-pac had great matches in Global Wrestling as the Lightning Kid.....

As the 123 Kid he had pretty good matches against Razor Ramon.....

In WCW he was very credible feuding with Zbyszko and even winning the cruiserweight title a few times while with the NWO....

DX was golden, especially when they would do impersonations......

I didn't quite like him feuding with Kane but I always thought he was a pretty entertaining wrestler....

He really started to settle in around late 1999 as Triple H was moving into the main event. Before that, he was a good worker. Now, he's a lazy worker who can put on good work but is severely hampered by injuries. Last time he was awesome, was about 1994 before the injuries started to get to him. In the early nineties, Lynn was bringing it and he was bumping like hell resulting in some great matches. He did some good global work. His early WWE work was good. But things caught up to him.

Remember that he hurt his neck going the extra mile to entertain us...

X-Pac's actual ring work is not bad, and never has been, though he was better before his 347th neck injury. I just watched KOTR 2001 today, and Pac did a credible job of carrying a wasted-looking Jeff Hardy to a decent match.

I think a lot smarks just become dumb marks when X-Pac comes up in conversation, like they did with Stevie Richards years ago. Statements like "X-Pac doesn't deserve to get a win over that guy!" are pretty common. If anything, it's a testament to the guy's ability to draw heat.

X-Pac was an excellent worker, pretty much until 99. Now, although his act is tired to say the least, his ring work is still above average. The sad thing is he is still only young (like 30, right?) so we could have another 15 years of him doing his tired act.

but,to be fair, he's still better than Bradshaw, Big Show etc.

The guy was making the NWO tag matches watchable a few months ago...Last year he was having damn good matches in the cruiser divison.

A better question would be when did he suck? All I can think of is the Kane fued...

Guest Whatmaniac

X-Pac does not suck and never did. It is the booking of X-Pac that has sucked. X-pac has been constantly portrayed as a lackey or dumb sidekick throughout much of his career. His act was allowed to grow stale and he is forced to job in virtually every match, thus impeding his ability to get heat. He is still a good worker when he has something to work with. His matches during the X-Factor angle were of high quality. Unfortunately, the bookers rarely give X-Pac any reason to be motivated. Its hard to get excited about your matches when you are getting squashed on a nightly basis, have no direction, a stale gimmick as Scott Hall's bitch, and have very little hope of ever getting a renewed push. Give the man something worth working for and he will provide great matches.

You also have to remember this...

The year Owen won the KOR (94) in the quarters, he and Owen staged the greatest match under five minutes in recorded history. If they had gone 10 or 15 minutes...HOLY SHIT.

Sean Waltman is one of the best US workers of his era. It's only in recent years that he's gotten bad due to a bad gimmick, injuries, and laziness. Even then, he's shown flashes of his old self on occasion (Unforgiven 99 vs. Jericho, cruiser matches during Invasion, etc.).

Guest Diesel

X-pac in my opinon is one of the best workers in the business. It's his behavour outside of the ring that makes you people think that he sucks. I don't remember a time went X-pac really has had a bad match-up. Also, alot of people think RVD is the future. Maybe so, but I personally think that Sean Waltman is a better worker then RVD.

X-Pac is one of my all time favs. He doesn't suck, never has, but he got slowed down a bit by his heel turn (which served to put HHH over more than anything else). I watched some old tapes from late 99-early 2000, and it seemed like he remained over right up until his pairing with Road Dogg as the "Greatest Tag Team Ever", as JR would say night after night after night. That team killed 90% of X-Pac's heat, with the remaining 10% being the world famous "X-Pac Heat". It's funny how everybody says X-Pac only gets pushes because he's friends with HHH, when it seems like HHH sabotaged his career more than anything. That's my opinion though...

BTW: X-Pac's match with Kidman @ last year's Raw in Philly was one of the best matches I've ever seen in person...as short as it was.

X Pac sucked the most when he was in the tag team with the Road Dogg. That is so forgettable that no one has ever mentioned it. I mean they were HORRIBLE. When Pac was going over Kane it was mildly annoying, but to see fucking Pac and Dogg beating everyone but E and C in the tag division was just inexcusable.

Xpac has pretty much always sucked under the alias of X-Pac.

He entertained me during his face run with Kane as his partner because I could really get behind him. I was never really a big fan of his Syxx character in the nWo, nor X-Pac in DX because he never seemed much of a threat and shouldn't have been part of an elite group (though Gunn and Dogg shouldn't have either)

His character in heel mode has never gone through and evolution and has been stale for 3 or 4 years. He is pathetic in his latest nWo role and he really needs to get a new look and gimmick/character or fire his ass.

If his politicking is true and he is too deteriorated to work a normal schedule, he'smore of a liability than an asset and what people say is true, X-Pac Sucks.

Great worker, always has been, but laziness and excuses cannot be tolerated if you want such a big spot.

Guest The Mighty Damaramu

Well he used to be good. But he's so damn lazy that I'm never entertained by anything he does in the ring lately. Plus through reading his interviews on WWF.com and hearing all the rumors about him he's got one of the largest ego's and biggest attitudes ever.

Wrestling as the Lightning Kid down in Texas for Global on ESPN he did not suck. The wrestling "smarks" back then held him in the same regard as people do Chris Benoit or Eddy Gureuro today.
