Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 WWE DROPS HWA AS DEVELOPMENTAL TERRITORY, MAKES ROSTER CUTS WWE is dropping Les Thatcher’s Heartland Wrestling Association as a developmental territory. They are going to be consolidating the developmental operations down to just one area, Ohio Valley Wrestling. Also, given their releases were E.Z. Money, Mike Sanders, and Race Steele. It is believed that at least one other person will be released as well. This comes on the heels of Chad Collyer and Ron Waterman being released last week. More details should be available later in the day. Credit: 1Wrestling.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- DAMNIT!!!!!! Not Sanders!!!!!!!!!
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I hope Sanders come on NWA-TNA next week and shoots heavy on the WWE.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 If Sanders does, I'll mark out like a little girl at a Hardy's Autograph signing.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Mike Sanders!? Is the WWE insane?!? Shit, Sanders is a great all arounder (workrate, talking, etc.), and is friends with Russo, who is credited with giving him a push. NWA just got a great new talent on their hands. EZ Money too? So much for pushing those cruisers. Looks like another newbie to the X Division. Is it wrong to love the fact that the NWA is benefitting greatly from WWE stupidity? And, one last thing about the Sanders release...watch out for the wrath of Cubano. He's gonna po'd, and I don't blame him.
Guest Jerome Drake Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 FUCK. sanders and money are both great.
Guest BoboBrazil Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 This fucking sucks. I hope NWA:TNA pick up E.Z. Money and Mike Sanders.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Drake probably doesn't even know who Sanders is! He's just pissed cuz his boyfriend Diesel (whatever) was banned.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 mother fucker cunt shit cock sucker bastard! okay with that out i ask: WTF? I thought the WWE was high on Sanders, after his stint as booker for ovw? Jesus christ, NWA will, not has to, will sign Sanders soon.(He may have that "cant work for so and so long" thing)
Guest AM The Kid Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Drake probably doesn't even know who Sanders is! He's just pissed cuz his boyfriend Diesel (whatever) was banned. OH TAG!
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Drake probably doesn't even know who Sanders is! He's just pissed cuz his boyfriend Diesel (whatever) was banned. What, you mean The Clique didn't pull strings to keep him here? lol Seriously, when/why did that happen? (sorry to go off topic)
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 hmm...Nash and Sanders were friends...oh fuck, if they cut Sanders just to piss of Nash...
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 The Jarretts have smiles on their faces now. Sanders and Money WILL show up in the NWA, while the WWE still has dead weight like Albert and The Godfather on their roster.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 mother fucker cunt shit cock sucker bastard! okay with that out i ask: WTF? I thought the WWE was high on Sanders, after his stint as booker for ovw? Jesus christ, NWA will, not has to, will sign Sanders soon.(He may have that "cant work for so and so long" thing) Released means he's free to do whatever. He's not benched like that bald guy that drinks beer and gives the middle finger, whatever his name is.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Thats right wwf, cut any futuer talents, rely more on the old guys who arent drawing any more, brillant plan, simply brillant. Man the wwf needs to open their own school, like the powerplant.

Man the wwf needs to open their own school, like the powerplant. Those pretty much were their schools. They are basically going to just steal talent and let others develop the new stars.
Guest M Nyland Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 I second the Cubano remark....somebody's gonna die at his hands....
Guest Wild_Orchid Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 You know there's something wrong when Jackie Gayda gets a spot on WWE tv and a talent like Mike Sanders doesn't.
Guest The Son of Sting Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Lets hope the NWA sign them up (Money and Sanders).
Guest DrEvil Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 They must be keeping the dead weight because of the cost of buy outs in their contracts. Brilliant strategy: save the buy out money, use the dead weight, and slash revenue. Rather than: take a hit on the dead weight (and beat the dumbass who gave them the contract), sign new talent for jack shit, and if they don't create an increase in interest and revenue, then send them packing. So glad to see them following this strategy and not letting unknown talents take away tv time from proven draws, I'll keep my fingers crossed on that long awaited T & A reunion.
Guest The Son of Sting Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 You know there's something wrong when Jackie Gayda gets a spot on WWE tv and a talent like Mike Sanders doesn't. That sums up whats wrong with WCW.
Guest Goodear Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Oh no. If nothing else was going to blow up WWE, not having Mike Sanders and EZ Money is going to... oh wait no. I mean honestly, I'm a big fan of EZ but to think he was going to turn around ratings or anything is plain old wacky. The fact is, if the writing doesn't improve, it doesn't really matter who WWE decides to cut. Because, if you can't do meaningful stuff with Angle, Benoit, Guerrero, Van Dam, Booker T, and The Rock, you aren't going to be able to do it with Sanders and Money. Sad but true.
Guest TheyCallMeMark Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 E.Z. Money They were stupid enough to have this guy stuck in development, now they're CUTTING him? This is Jason Jett we're talking about and I think it's a pretty well known fact he was building it up and tearing it down in HWA. He could have EASILY be promoted to the SmackDown! roster and been in GREAT matches. He was as good as Knoble, at least. Stupid fuckers.
Guest Austin3164life Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Is it just me or is the NWA-TNA gaining more and more attention? I mean now with the releases of Sanders and Money, NWA-TNA has a good chance to pick up on some great fresh talent, that the WWE could DEFINITELY use. I just feel that the NWA-TNA will become a big opponent to the WWE, I feel it. Maybe not sooner, but later. Here's hoping talents like Sanders and Money end up in NWA-TNA.
Guest converge241 Posted July 19, 2002 Report Posted July 19, 2002 Sanders and EZ would be great on TNA its too bad i think Sanders really could have hit it off well with WWE fans
