Guest Shadow Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Your basic predictions thread. Predict away. WWE Undisputed Title Rock v. Undertaker v. Kurt Angle This one is easy. Rock is going to win the title before jobbing it to Brock at SummerSlam on his way back to the movies. WINNER: The Rock WWE Tag Team Titles Edge/Hulk Hogan v. Christian/Lance Storm Another easy one. Duh, Edge is from Canada, so he'll turn on Hogan and give Christian & Storm the win, becoming the leader of this new Team Canada in the process. WINNERS: Christian/Lance Storm Will HHH choose Raw or Smackdown: HHH goes to RAW. RAW needs him much more than Smackdown does, and it works storyline-wise because Stephanie is heading up Smackdown (even though Steph appears to be a face now). WINNER: Raw NO DQ/ NO Countout Booker T v. Big Show If Booker doesn't go over here, there is something seriously wrong. WINNER: Booker T Table Match Spike/Bubba Ray Dudley v. Gurrero/Benoit Ditto for this match. Benoit needs to look dominating so he can get the hell out of the midcard. WINNERS: Gurrero/Benoit WWE Intercontinental Title RVD V. Brock Lesnar They're not going to job Brock to RVD, and they're not going to give Brock the IC Title. Solution: Brock wins by DQ. WINNER: Brock Lesnar by DQ WWE Cruiserweight Title Jamie Knoble v. Billy Kidman Knoble, he's keeping the belt warm for Mysterio. WINNER: Jamie Knoble WWE Women's Title Molly Holly v. Torrie Wilson Molly's a real wrestler. Torrie is eye candy. WINNER: Molly Holly
Guest Anglesault Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 My prediction: HHH will take up 30 minutes with his boring ranting, pedigree them both and nothing will be resolved, but the Show will end with Hunter standing tall. Winner: no one, but the fans lose. Winners Rock Christian/Storm Brock Eddy/Benoit Booker Molly Who cares
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Winners: Rock Christian/Storm Brock Eddy/Benoit Booker Molly Noble
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Will HHH choose Raw or Smackdown: HHH goes to RAW. RAW needs him much more than Smackdown does, and it works storyline-wise because Stephanie is heading up Smackdown (even though Steph appears to be a face now). WINNER: Raw RAW does not need Triple H over there!!! Let Hunter stay over on Smackdown! and hold down Jericho & Angle, but keep him away from Benoit & Eddie. Sorry, but I like Eddie and Benoit more then Angle & Jericho. Plus, I enjoy RAW.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Hey! Angle and Jericho have had enough!
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Jericho definately has. but, Benoit was held down in for years in WCW let alone the WWF. mmmm tough choice...i say put him on RAW, that way we wont get HHH Vs Stephanie again.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Alright...time to smell the shit the WWE is dealing out: HHH goes to Raw. I'm sure there is a swerve involved...and that it will take 20 minutes to sort out. Fuck HHH The Rock wins the title. Fuck the Rock Brock beats RVD (WHICH IS TERRIBLE SINCE BROCK CAME OUT ON TOP EVERY WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Fuck Brock Benoit and Eddy win...but it's a table match to further protect Bubba from ever really losing. Fuck Bubba Christian and Storm win...but Edge will be the focal point somehow. Fuck Edge Booker finally wins a match...but somehow someone will get their heat back on him. Fuck whoever that is. Molly. FUCK VINCE
Guest TestKick Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Rock -simply because he's jobbing to Brock at SS... Hulk & Edge -Lance & Christian is the obvious right decision... but I think Vince will screw Hulk out of the Tag Titles on Smackdown later this month... RVD- By DQ... Brock will basically squash him. Booker- and it better be crisp, clean and no caffeine... Eddy & Benoit- Benoit needs wins... Molly Jamie Noble- so he can job to Mr. Flip Flop...
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Yeah but poor Benoit and Eddie don't have the awesome mic skills like Jericho & Angle to work out of slumps. Benoit and Eddie will have to work extra hard in the ring to fight back from the politics! Benoit will break his neck again and Triple H will drive Eddie back to drugs. Once again! KEEP TRIPLE H AWAY FROM BENOIT & EDDIE!!!!!
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 YES!YES!YES!! i just realised! neither Test or Bradshaw have matches!
Guest Anglesault Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 I have a compromise. Dusty runs out, as the GM of Heat, and signs HHH!
Guest Flyboy Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Once again! KEEP TRIPLE H AWAY FROM BENOIT & EDDIE!!!!! I like that idea, AS... Because if HHH went to Raw he would take down Benoit, Eddie, AND RVD with him..
Guest Olympic Slam Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Predictions - 1. Noble beats Kidman 2. Eddie/Benoit win the table match 3. Booker beats Big Show 4. Storm/Christian beat Hogan/Edge 5. Brock beats RVD 6. Rock pins Angle to win the title. Taker and Angle continue the fued 7. If Molly has a match, she'll win
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 My prediction for Vengeance: A sucky buy-rate.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 I don't think Benoit is being buried, just that they don't have anything for him to do. Guerrero needs the win more than Benoit does, if it is an elimination style table match. Ever since they started teaming, whenever they lose, it is Eddy that does. If the WWE keeps it up, Eddy will be seen as the weak link in the team, and will have his heat killed when the breakup occurs. I'll be back later for my picks.
Guest CanadianChick Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Triple Threat MAtch- Rock Tag Team Match-Christian and Lance after Edge turns on Hogan (PLease, please, PLEASE!) Booker vs. SHow- Booker Table Match-Eddy and Beniot; I hope Edddy and Benoit go back to singles after this cause they are both very talented. MAybe even the main event... Intercontinental Match-Rvd (I can dream!) Cruiserweight Match- Noble Womens Match- Molly. SIgning HHH- Probably RAW, but I don't which one I want to happne. On one hand, I don't want to see Steph vs. HHH again, but on the other hand, I want RVD to become Raw's top face. Oh the humanity of it all...
Guest midnight_burn Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Predictions: Noble beats Kidman Eddie/Benoit beat the Dudleys Booker defeats Big Show Storm/Christian beat Hogan/Edge Brock beats RVD Rock wins main event so he can job to Brock If Molly has a match, she'll win HHH takes half the show to decide he's going to Raw to stink up the only show i get, giving me one more reason to not care about Raw.
Guest mickberna Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 I mark out for Skeleton Power~! "You'll pay fer this... with yer children's blood!"
Guest AndrewTS Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 I think probably HHH will go to SD! And I hope so too. Besides...Steph's gonna be on SD! right? So they'll have plenty of time to fued together on camera, and for HHH to fuck her up the ass every now and then backstage. Picks later...too tired...
Guest CanadianChick Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 So they'll have plenty of time to fued together on camera nononono!!! No HHH vs. Steph feud...PLEASE!!!
Guest Shadow Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 How did I know this was going to turn into an HHHate thread? Actually, when I said RAW needs Hunter more, you actually have to be a fan of Hunter (like me) and realize that he provides entertainment (also like me) to believe that. I was saying so because with Austin gone, RAW doesn't really have a top face. Sorry RVD fans, but RVD has already been buried- and it's (gasp!) not Hunter's fault! I'll get to that again in a second. But yes, RAW needs HHH. Smackdown has Rock for a top face, with Hogan not far behind. What does RAW have? A buried RVD, a not-as-over-as-everyone-around-here-acts Booker T, a buried Jeff Hardy, and a now-I'm-a-face-now-I'm-a-heel Undertaker, who will be on Smackdown anyway after Rock beats him for the belt (unless I'm forgetting how that works). Thus, RAW needs HHH to be the top face. And now, about RVD been buried. The WWE did the worst possiable thing they could do to Rob Van Dam- they gave him the title for about a minute, and practically never mentioned it again. That, my friends, is what buried RVD. Not being constantly killed by Brock Lesnar (although I doubt that helped). Not Triple H. But a two-second title reign that the WWE has already forgotten. Whether it leads to a future title shot or not, the WWE has already given RVD the label of someone who's never going to make it past IC level- it doesn't matter when he wins the title for two seconds, because RVD ISN'T A REAL TITLE THREAT! And that is why RVD cannot be RAW's top face. -Shadow
Guest Human Fly Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 - Rock wins and then goes to Summerslam to job the title to Brock - Noble wins to job the title to Mysterio - Eddie/Benoit win, unless this bizarre Bubba push continues - Booker wins, unless the WWE just refuses to push him - Storm/Christian win with help from Vince or Jericho. Edge stays a face. They are going to need faces to feed to Brock when he becomes Champ, and Hogan already has a Vince feud coming up. - RVD will win by DQ or be DQed givng Brock the Van-Terminator - Molly - HHH will stay on SD! unless they want to start the wheels turning for a heel turn.
Guest NoCalMike Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 I have a question, could it be possible for RVD to win due to botched help by Heyman, so then on RAW RVD demands another match for the title shot, which Brock then wins so RVD retains the title, and Brock retains the title shot....or is Brock's first loss too much of a blow a month before his title match?
Guest Mikey2Dope Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 HHH goes to Raw (possibly reform nWo??? I have a feeling it's not dead yet) Triple Threat Match- Undertaker Tag Team Match- Team Canada Booker vs. SHow- Booker T Table Match- Bubba and Spike which leads to a Benoit/Guerrero program(god that would be SWEET) Intercontinental Match- Brock Cruiserweight Match- Noble Womens Match- Molly If it happens: Cena vs Jericho - Chris Jericho with help from Team Canada
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 Well, to use some WWeee logic on the situation with HHH.... Bischoff will get HHH to sign, then HHH will pretend to hate Bischoff and say he signed just to make Eric miserable (ala every owner v. wrestler storyline) A week later HBK returns again, wearing nWo colors, saying he wasnt finished with HHH, no matter what mcmahon says. HHH runs out to attack HBK but Bischoff comes out and calms them down. He puts HHH in a match against Benoit with HBK as the ref Bischoff comes down to commentate as the match begins. We have some match, some more match, eventually Shawn no-counts a Benoit pinfall attempt, he gets up, gets in Shawns face, Bischoff runs to the ring, HHH low-blows Benoit, Shawn does the quick count, and the three victors, HHH, HBK, and EzE hold hands in the ring, EzE assumes the Rick Rude role as the three bury Benoits career forever Truth be told... it wouldnt shock me.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 I think that HHH should go to RAW and turn heel. With Undertaker looking more and more like a face, and the Rock likely winning the title, the face side of RAW (at least for the next month) will be loaded with Rock, RVD, Booker T, Flair and probably Undertaker. The heel side on the other hand has Benoit, Lesnar, Guerrero, and Taker if he doesn't turn completely. As a face on RAW HHH could only really feud with Benoit, since Guerrero isn't a great fit and no one will watch HHH vs. Undertaker again. However as a heel he could probably have convincing feuds with multiple guys. Taking him off Smackdown shouldn't be that big a deal since they have the Rock, Hogan, and Edge to carry the face side (with guys like Mysterio Jr, and Cena also hanging around) while Angle, Jericho, and the Anti-Americans can hold the fort on the heel end.
Guest Brian Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 "A buried RVD, a not-as-over-as-everyone-around-here-acts Booker T" Now, I'm sure this has been said about a dozen times but if the guy could string together a few wins and give the fans a legitimate reason to think he's going to win, he'd end up super over. The same cannot be said for RVD; at this point it's world title or bust. "The WWE did the worst possiable thing they could do to Rob Van Dam- they gave him the title for about a minute, and practically never mentioned it again." It's not that, it's that afterword he never got back to the title scene. Same thing that happened to Jericho, because once the fans realized he (Jericho) wasn't a thread and was just mid-card fodder for the upper guys (HHH mainly) to play with and beat before being sent back down to feud with Benoit, he was lost. If Jericho would have won the title in April, which would have been a horrible move for his character but probably the soundest business move in creating new stars, Jericho's credibility would have probably been insured. And he was super over, the loudest pop I've ever heard for the amount of people. And they could have done the same with RVD. But it's not a where do you go from there that's the problem, because obviously as a face you've exercised that momentum all into one push, it's a turn them heel after the reign scenario. Where do you go when you can't go higher? You take a turn. Too much too fast? Be a heel.
Guest alfdogg Posted July 20, 2002 Report Posted July 20, 2002 As a face on RAW HHH could only really feud with Benoit NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
