Guest jester Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Well, as some have already suggested, they should do an angle where Stephanie molests Stacy like her dad did. Let's try to push the very ugly mental implication of father and daughter sharing the same partner (that is SO wrong that humans should not have to contemplate it) and get to my idea--redoing the implied lesbian angle they had on Xena. In case you don't know the show, Xena and her sidekick Gabrielle would be given dialogue or situations where it was hinted at, sometimes lightly, sometimes boldly. "You've always stuck by me Gabrielle. You don't know how much I love...that." The important thing here is to HINT at it. Not show them necking on Stephanie's desk (but oh boy would that get people's attention). The chase is more intriguing than the catch. Stuff like Stacy being found underneath Steph's desk, but she's only picking up a pencil. That sort of thing. I'd personally rather see this than her "talking business" on a cell phone. An actress she is not. THoughts?
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Steph: "Hey, Stacey, what do you think of this new lingerie I bought?" Stacey: "Pretty sexy, Steph. How about my new thong?" Steph: "Nice!" I'm all for the innuendo...
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Well, since I don't get Smackdown, I wouldn't see it, but it'd be pretty funny, though. They'd probably catch some shit from feminist groups, maybe. One bad thing, though: I hate Stacy. Hate, hate, HAAAATEEEE...

Guest jimmy no nose Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 This is the best idea I've ever heard from this board.
Guest Flyboy Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 *just laughs at the idea of the angle* I don't think the WWE is THAT desperate YET...

They'd probably catch some shit from feminist groups, maybe. Maybe. But if they played it right, they might get gay women tuning in for this. I know it sounds farfetched, but Xena was a big hit with gay women (I know this, because I knew one, and she was part of an Internet group that followed it like we follow wrestling). For sure they'll grab the horny teenaged boy demographic, tuning in every week and hoping they get down to business...
Guest GenerationNever Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Xena was a TERRIBLE show in terms of plots, and it wasn't all that "sexy" either. But...Steph+Stacy+Kissing+Groping+Lingerie=Ratings. To hell with what feminists think.

Actually, that doesn't sound TOO bad... or have Stacy underneath the desk with Steph screaming loudly... only to find out that Stephanie had a splinter in her toe. Okay, I'll stop now.
Guest GenerationNever Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Off-topic: What exactly does Ryan Starr do?
Guest Flyboy Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Off-topic: What exactly does Ryan Starr do? Goddamnit! No one watches American Idol except me.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 It's so funny that everyone was so against all the Vince and divas angles...but all for this. That said...bring on the lesbian action.
Guest jester Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 It's so funny that everyone was so against all the Vince and divas angles...but all for this. That said...bring on the lesbian action. This is *just* different enough to work. Has any wrestling fed tried it before? I can't think of any. And Flyboy has got the idea right with his "splinter" scenario. That would be one of the more extreme innuendos if I were writing it (and I'm sure WWE will hire me any day now. Yep, sure), but it's exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about. I'm telling you, it's money! Great, I'm turning into Tommy Fiero. Permission granted to shoot me.
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Vince is a dirty old man, who is married to an old woman. Steph is a sexxxy, young chick who would RULE in a lesbian angle.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Ummmm.... do I even have to mention what a terrible idea this is? Talk about chauvinism... why can't an assistant just be an assistant anymore?
Guest Flyboy Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Ummmm.... do I even have to mention what a terrible idea this is? Talk about chauvinism... why can't an assistant just be an assistant anymore? Ooooh... just roll with it, Ed.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 I do not want to see any more assistants...PERIOD! The whole idea for the women to be there is either as a valet for the male wrestlers, a wrestler themselves, interviewing (sadly), or a dancer ala The Nitro Girls... nothing else needs to happen. Vince didn't need an "assistant" EVER...and neither does Steph or Eric.... if they can't find anything good for Stacy to do, they should just put her out there on Smackdown with Billy & Chucky so she can play the "stupid blonde" and not realize the implied homo-erotic innuendo. ya know...something silly like that.... if they don't have a place for a female either train them to actually wrestle or fire them. I'm sure a few wrestlers would do better with some eye candy by their sides
Guest razazteca Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 how about have Stacy model some clothes (bikinis or underwear) for Stephanie, Stacy can be her personal shopper. Then after the commercial break, Stacy is at Fredricks of Hollywood or Victory's Secret buying stuff.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 APO is right, stacy is a sretched out mutant with a face of a five year old
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 Don't let JHawk hear you say that... hey you know me, I'm one of the least disagreeable people on this board, but i think the clamor over stacy is way, way, way overrated

Nope.
Guest Downhome Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 As far as making it SEEM they are lesbians, I'm 100% against it. If you ask me, it would do nothing but make Steph out to be some sort of comedy bit over time. What we need is for her to continue this serious "business woman" type of persona, and if you don't mind me saying... ...I feel that this character is where she has finally found her niche.
Guest NoCalMike Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 The lesbian angle is hilarious. I love whoever brought up Stacy Under the Desk with Steph screaming because of a ........splinter....hehehe....All seriousness though, I was so shocked at Stacy's realism in her acting. She generally seemed concerned and wasn't as Cheesy as I thought she would be trying to be serious.
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 26, 2002 Report Posted July 26, 2002 They could have Steph request some fruit & vegetables for a tray, and have Stacy go and buy all phallic shaped ones. I'd like to state that I watch American Idol too, Flyboy.

This is *just* different enough to work. Has any wrestling fed tried it before? I can't think of any. The closest I can think of is ECW's lesbian angle as part of the Raven-Dreamer-Beulah plot. I'm pretty sure it was Dreamer and Beulah having a threesome with Kimona. Take Dreamer out of that picture so it's just Kimona and Beulah ... hmmmmmm, tasty.
