Guest y2jailbait Posted August 8, 2002 Report Posted August 8, 2002 War Games, without a doubt. It really didnt matter what the feud was at the time, The War Games watch was always something to look forward to. I personally think things like that and the triple cage match (for its over the top feel) wouldnt be all that bad to use in the WWE. Hell, all together, i personally think now that WWE owns WCW, they should try and use portions from failed gimmicks or failed match types to liven up the product. Nothing like using the past to help with the future.
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted August 8, 2002 Report Posted August 8, 2002 Want to see-War Games deffinately. Also the Triple Cage from Slamboree. Not Want to see- Viagra on Pole match(cough*russo*cough)
Guest Ram Posted August 8, 2002 Report Posted August 8, 2002 Like I said in some other post, War Games always kicked ass. The three ring setup for World War III's Royal Rumble was awesome too. The Triple Cage with DDP and Jarrett should come back too. A little revamped, nonetheless, but its a good idea.
Guest NazMistry Posted August 8, 2002 Report Posted August 8, 2002 WarGames is all you need. WarGames should have been the gimmick for the Survivor Series 2001 Main Event. That would have kicked ass.
Guest Brian Posted August 8, 2002 Report Posted August 8, 2002 Gimmick matches are over-used as a whole.
Guest Choken One Posted August 8, 2002 Report Posted August 8, 2002 Pretty much, War Games and Spin a Wheel, Make a Deal. War Games could be used for RAW-Smackdown
Guest chirs3 Posted August 8, 2002 Report Posted August 8, 2002 WARGAMES: Battle of the Brands! Team Smackdown: The Rock Kurt Angle Rikishi Chris Benoit Eddie Guerrero Team RAW The Undertaker Rob Van Dam Chris Jericho Triple H Booker T The height of the Bischoff/Steph fued. This is to decide once and for all who's got the better brand. The only problem is the mid-and-uppercard of the PPV would be shot to hell.
Guest y2jailbait Posted August 8, 2002 Report Posted August 8, 2002 Oh my god, for the first time ever, i got chills up my damn spine after reading that. That is a great idea, hence why the WWE wont use it. Damn, congrats, you are now the smartest man ive ever met, and ive met Jesse Jackson Brotha!
Guest y2jailbait Posted August 8, 2002 Report Posted August 8, 2002 Also, why not use chamber of horrors for a hardcore match, it wouldnt be a great match, hell it would suck big time, but seeing Bradshaw in an electric chair would be enough for me.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Must.....resist.....kinky......Bradshaw.....joke..... Gotta be War Games, the only original WCW match they did right. Battle of the brands would be awesome...no need to replace Rikishi....if he can bleed, we can mark out.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 The Rock Kurt Angle Rikishi - Chris Benoit Eddie Guerrero
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 the only problem with Team SD! is that everyone is a 2face 3 heel team...that unbalances it
Guest thebigjig Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 War Games... something the Invasion pay per view should have featured as a main event Vince has got a money match right there in front of him, and it's a shame he hasn't done anything with it
Guest Nevermortal Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 They should nix the 2 cages, and just do the War Games in the Hell in a Cell. It allows more freedom for movement.
Guest MentallyNormal Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Tape Fist Match A Trailer Match Just Bring Back Uncensored!! That was the coolest ppv ever!
Guest bigdunn20 Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 BATTLEBOWL! In addition to Mr. Monday Night, and Mr. PPV...RVD can now be the KING OF CABLE or whatever it was they called it.
Guest chirs3 Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 the only problem with Team SD! is that everyone is a 2face 3 heel team...that unbalances it Well Raw is 3-face 2-heel, so it's ok. Rikishi's there because, as sickening as we may think it to be, he's over and he has been/might be in the future Upper-main event kind of guy.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 I'd do this for a RAW/SD Wargames match RAW: Rob Van Dam Undertaker Chris Jericho Triple H SD: Kurt Angle Brock Lesnar Rey Misterio Jr The Rock 2 faces, 2 heels Benoit and Guerrero can be saved for another match on that show.
Guest the incomparable Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Completely off topic, but have Triple H and Jericho ever been part of the same team in a match?
Guest chirs3 Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Never mind. And I don't think they have.
Guest Austin3164life Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 World War 3 would be a good gimmick to have at Survivor Series.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 I really hate gimmick matches, so I'll use this spot to use this image macro:
Guest razazteca Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Six Man Tag Team Championship in a tournament format. Lethal Lottery the Strap 4 corner match dog collars
Guest RickyChosyu Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 I really hate gimmick matches, so I'll use this spot to use this image macro: I just got done watching that match. Wiiiieeeeeeeerd. Anyway, while Wargames was usually a fun match in the way the Rumble was, I don't think it should be brought back unless there's something really great to throw into it. I mean, the Four Horsemen, the Dangerous Alliance, and the nWo were very hot angles that used the War Games as a blow off. Steph/Bisch really isn't that hot a feud right now, and I think War Games would simply be hurt by it. Anyway, as someone mentioned, gimick matches are over-done anyway.
Guest midnight_burn Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Bring back the Judy Bagwell on a Pole match~!
Guest cabbageboy Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 How about the DNA match? Sure I'd love to see a Wargames match inside the Hell in a Cell. It seems like such obvious money in the bag. If Bischoff makes Raw into Nitro they can have him name his stips (hence the Wargames rules) and Steph makes her WWE stips (HIAC). Makes total sense to me.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 what exactly was the wargames match
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Has to be Wargames. And it wasn't a double cage, it was a double ring. There was only one cage. In the WWF, the ring is bigger so it probably wouldn't be necessary to have two.
Guest Nevermortal Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 what exactly was the wargames match 2 teams. 5 men each. 2 Men, One from each team start off. After 5 minutes, a coin is flipped. The winner of the toss sends a rep into the cage. From thereafter, every 2 minutes a new guy goes in. Whence all 8 men are in the cage, you can win the match. The only way to submit is having your opponents Submit or Surrender. It'll put hair on your chest.
